China Continues Aggression Against Philippines

A Chinese Coast Guard ship almost collided with a Philippine Coast Guard vessel in a Philippine section of the South China Sea on April 5, in the latest demonstration of Chinese belligerence in the vital maritime region.

The incident happened in the Scarborough Shoal, 120 nautical miles from the Philippines, placing it within the nation’s “exclusive economic zone,” according to international law.

Details: Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Jay Tarriela said the Chinese ship conducted “reckless and dangerous maneuvers” about 50 feet away from the Philippine vessel around 11 a.m.

  • China conducted similar activities against both Philippine and American military vehicles a few weeks ago.

Prophetic perspective: The Bible reveals that China will soon be a leader in a massive alliance of Asian nations. Because of this, the Trumpet expects many of America’s Asian allies and partners to eventually capitulate to China’s influence. Expect China’s aggression to continue.
