U.S. Demands Iran Give Up Nuclear Program

United States Security Advisor Mike Waltz said in an interview with abc News on Sunday that the Iranian regime can either give up its nuclear program or face the consequences.

  • The demand came after multiple U.S. strikes against leaders of the Iran-backed Houthis over the weekend.
  • Waltz emphasized that with these attacks, the U.S. is “holding Iran responsible.”

Under attack: The U.S. is taking more seriously the Houthi threat to secure maritime trade through the Red Sea, where ships have been targeted by Houthi attacks for years. The terrorism has rerouted a great deal of shipping, tripling costs for many container ships.

Peacemaker: From his first day in office, President Donald Trump proclaimed his goal of being a peacemaker in global politics. He is taking a stand against terrorism in the Red Sea, which was allowed to go basically unchecked by the previous administration.

Mr. Trump may win some near-term victories in his quest for peace, but until world leaders recognize the spiritual dimension to the pursuit of peace, they will continue to be plagued by violence and evil.

Faith: In Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry’s article “Deadly Flaw in Mideast Peace Deals,” he wrote:

We should look into the Bible and be taught by Abraham’s example of faith. Abraham looked to God for deliverance like few other men ever have. He fought and defeated Assyria, the forefathers of modern Germany (Genesis 14). God would give our nations the victory today—He would give us peace and security—if we just followed Abraham’s example.
