Iran Signals Nuclear ‘Change of Direction’
The impeachment of Iranian Minister of Economy and Financial Affairs Abdolnasser Hemmati signals the Iranian regime’s deepening determination to obtain nuclear weapons, the Middle East Forum reported on Tuesday.
Hemmati had campaigned for president in 2021 on the promise that he would reduce foreign tensions, boost foreign investments, and promote diplomacy to reduce sanctions on oil exports.
He enraged Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his sons, who enrich themselves by evading United States sanctions. He became a target for hard-liner Iranian officials who have no interest in negotiating with Western powers, especially the U.S., which they call “the great Satan.”
Cleaning house: Iran’s chief justice also demanded the resignation of Vice President Mohammad Javad Zarif, who also supported renewed diplomacy with the U.S. Zarif resigned on March 3.
The sacking highlights a change of direction in the regime’s foreign policy. Gone are efforts to improve prosperity; back in fashion is the “resistance economy,” which emphasizes patriot austerity and domestic production of foodstuffs and military goods.

Iran is establishing an economy of wartime austerity.
Going for the bomb: Iran’s regime is taking this position to “accelerate its nuclear weaponization process,” according to Middle East Forum. “[I]t now appears Khamenei only allows diplomacy in the hope it will delay a military attack long enough for Iran to complete its nuclear project.”
The Bible prophesies that Iran will play a key role in inciting a global nuclear war. That is why the Trumpet closely watches as Iran races to become a nuclear power.
