Anti-Semitism at an All-time High in U.S.

Anti-Semitism is at an all-time high in the United States, according to a report by the Anti-Defamation League (adl) released on October 6.

There have been over 10,000 anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. since Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel, the highest number recorded by the adl since its founding in 1979. This is a 200 percent increase from the same time period last year.

Statistics:

  • 3,000 anti-Semitic incidents occurred during anti-Israel riots.
  • 2,000 occurred at Jewish institutions.
  • 1,200 occurred on college campuses.

This represents a 500 percent increase in incidents at colleges and universities.

  • Over 8,000 of the reported incidents were verbal or written harassment.
  • 1,800 were attacks of vandalism.
  • More than 150 were physical attacks.

Most hated group: America is home to the largest Jewish population outside of Israel. Nevertheless according to the fbi’s Hate Crime Report, Jews are the most targeted group in the U.S.
