Storm Boris Ravages Central Europe
Storm Boris poured over a month’s worth of rain across Central Europe within 24 hours last weekend. Liz Bentley, chief executive of the Royal Meteorological Society in London, called the amount of rain “unprecedented.”
Details: Emil Dragomir, mayor of an affected village, called it a “catastrophe of epic proportions.” The storm tore through Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. There have been 18 confirmed deaths; many are still missing.
- 50,000 were evacuated in the Czech Republic.
- Dams burst across the region.
- Floods submerged entire neighborhoods.
- Major industrial centers shut down; many are without heating and hot water.
- Some citizens had to be evacuated from the roofs of high-rise apartment buildings via helicopter.
Countries further along the Danube River, such as Hungary and Slovakia, are preparing for major flooding to hit later in the week.
Climate change? Many blame climate change for these storms. But Bible prophecy reveals the real cause of natural disasters.
