Japan Prepares Southeast Asian Maritime Support

Japan will develop a 10-year plan to give maritime support to the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam in an attempt to counter China’s aggression in the South China Sea, nhk World-Japan reported on Monday.

Much is unknown about the ambitious plans, but it is clear that Japanese officials will discuss supplying drones, patrol boats, radar systems and the development of human resources to these four nations.

Tokyo’s government regards this as a top priority concerning security.

The Trumpet said: Bible prophecy warns of an end-time alliance of Asian nations. Japan is prophesied to play a vital role in this alliance. The fact that Japan is improving its relations with these other Asian nations is consistent with this trend.

However, China is one of the main nations in this prophesied alliance. Given the current mistrust between these nations and China, we can expect some significant geopolitical shifts that will cause them to set aside their differences and pool resources in a common cause.
