Sudan Crisis: Wad Madani Under Attack

Sudanese Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo led his Rapid Support Forces to storm the city of Wad Madani on Monday, in the latest escalation in a broadening conflict. According to the International Organization for Migration, the violent struggle in the area has forced more than 300,000 weary civilians to evacuate over the last four days.

Seeking refuge: Before the current conflict broke out in April, Wad Madani’s population was around 700,000. But in the months since, the Rapid Support Forces (rsf) and Sudanese Armed Forces (saf) have fought against each other to take Khartoum, the Sudanese capital. This forced an estimated 500,000 of Khartoum’s people to take refuge in nearby Wad Madani.

As of Saturday, with rsf battling the saf outside Wad Madani, civilians have been forced to flee once again.

Withdrawal: On Monday, the saf withdrew from the city for an unknown reason. This, in addition to major victories in the west, has given General Dagalo’s brutal rsf great momentum, though it is unclear whether the rsf has taken the entire city.

World on fire: Neither the rsf nor saf are fighting for the sake of the civilians. This conflict is between two military generals fighting for power, and seemingly has no end in sight.

The battle in Sudan is just one of a growing number of conflicts around the world. These many wars raging today are actually leading to a great reset—but not the kind geopolitical analysts expect.

No more war: The Bible prophesies that these wars will culminate in the end of all war—a time when civilization will no longer learn war! That wonderful future will be here soon! But until then, the next few years will see much worse conflicts.
