Even Democrats Admit There Is No Case Against Trump

Alvin Bragg’s indictment has as much to do with the law as Russiagate had to do with Russia.

Last week, the media covered every tiny detail of Donald Trump’s arraignment in New York City. What a spectacle: The leader of the Make America Great Again movement, the former president of the United States (not to mention the rightful current president) and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination was officially arrested and charged with a felony. This was the first time in American history such a thing has happened. Then came the big reveal: The indictment was unsealed and the charges were made public. The celebratory mood among leftists in the media and elsewhere suddenly deflated.

The historic indictment was historically weak, contrived and contorted. It contains one charge, copy-and-pasted 33 times, and does not even state what felony Trump allegedly committed.

District Attorney Alvin Bragg has charged the president with “falsifying business records in the first degree, in violation of Penal Law §175.10.” This is normally a misdemeanor, but Bragg and his prosecutors have creatively construed it to be a felony because they claim President Trump did it in order to cover up another crime. The indictment does not specify what crime that was.

The leftists, a number of which literally cheered at the news of President Trump’s arraignment, are left empty-handed. Bragg and those behind him are clearly abusing the law rather than using it.

Will that stop them?

In the darkest days of the Soviet Union, the head of Joseph Stalin’s secret police once boasted, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.” This is exactly the type of prosecution Bragg is conducting. Thanks in part to funding from George Soros, the billionaire famous for progressively destroying constitutional rule of law in America and elsewhere, Bragg has spent his 15 months in office making sweeping changes to reduce prosecutions and penalties for criminals, some of whom have committed dozens of crimes like robbery over the course of decades. He has actually downgraded large numbers of felonies to misdemeanors, letting more criminals get back to committing more crimes more quickly. Show him the man, and if he is a career criminal, Bragg will create a way to erase the crime.

But show him Donald Trump, and Bragg will create a crime.

Trump is rumored to have paid a pornographic film actress to keep quiet about a sexual encounter that supposedly took place 17 years ago. That woman signed a 2016 nondisclosure agreement and a 2018 statement denying that a sexual encounter ever occurred or that she was paid by Mr. Trump. She now says she lied about both of those things. Trump has acknowledged that payments were made but denies that the two ever had sex. If such an encounter indeed occurred, it was obviously wrong, painful and destructive in many different ways to Mr. Trump’s wife, family and others. And so are the lies surrounding it, no matter who is telling them.

But what we are being forced to focus on right now is that this case reveals the active destruction of America’s entire justice system.

Bragg appears to be charging Trump for business records falsification for every payment he apparently made to this woman. But even his fellow radical leftists in the regime media seem confused about exactly what crime he claims that Trump committed. Trump pleaded “not guilty” to the 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, and none of the corporate news commentators can explain what felony he is guilty or not guilty of doing, because the indictment never says what underlying crime Trump was supposedly covering up.

As one legal analyst said on far-left cnn, “It’s a little underwhelming.”

Even the most rabid Trump-hating news network couldn’t find a legal analyst willing to stand with Bragg on his witch hunt. His legal reasoning is so creative, untested, biased—and possibly illegal—that people who bend their views to fit the leftist narrative all the time can’t quite bend that far, so far.

President Trump has severely criticized Bragg for this possibly illegal prosecution, stating outright that the district attorney is the one who should be prosecuted, for a miscarriage of justice. He has also said that Judge Juan Merchan is a “Trump-hating judge with a Trump-hating wife and family.” Merchan has told Trump to tone down his rhetoric or face a potential gag order.

This is America today! The left can say whatever they want about Trump. They can charge him with Russian collusion. They can charge him with falsifying business records and find a way to upgrade that to a felony. But no one ever holds them to account for their rumors, slander and lies because they threaten anyone who speaks against them with a gag order or worse.

It is hard to comprehend this level of hypocrisy until you understand that the hypocrisy is the point. The radical left isn’t even trying to appear impartial or just. Instead, they are flaunting their double standard. Yes, there is one standard for career criminals in New York City and for people like Hunter Biden, and there is another for January 6 protesters and people like Donald Trump. What you are seeing in our justice system is a brazen advertisement of the fact that radical leftists are America’s new aristocracy—and you better obey them or else.

Even the leaders of other countries—including countries that have notorious corruption problems of their own and including leaders who do not like President Trump—are speaking out about how flimsy the charges are and how obvious it is that the party in power is manipulating the courts to keep itself in power and politically destroy its opposition.

“This fake case was brought on only to interfere with the upcoming 2024 presidential election, and it should be dropped immediately,” Trump said at a Mar-a-Lago rally. He is absolutely right about this fact. If Bragg gets his way, Trump’s trial will start mid-January, just as the Republican presidential primaries are starting. This is just the latest sham manipulation of the justice system designed to stop Trump.

As my father, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry, explains in his book Ezekiel—The End-Time Prophet, America’s power structures are terminally ill from top to bottom (Isaiah 1:4-6). The government agents are sick; the legislators are sick; the judges are sick; the media moguls are sick; the election officials are sick.

Yet a prophecy in Amos 7 states that God will pass by America one last time so that people have a chance to solve this terrible problem. How? Not by voting out Democrats but by repenting of their sins. “And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more” (Amos 7:8).

“We have been watching this prophecy since June 1990, in the second issue of the Trumpet we ever produced,” my father wrote in “Why I Still Believe Donald Trump Is Coming Back.” “It speaks of a time when God is preparing to measure the destruction of end-time Israel—the United States and Britain—and He says, ‘I will not again pass by them any more’ (verse 8). This is just before severe correction comes on these nations if they don’t repent. They are receiving their final warning. … So the entire context of God saying I will not again pass by them anymore is the time of ‘Jeroboam’—an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii of Israel.”

This prophecy is why we have consistently insisted that President Trump will return to power, even immediately after the 2020 election was stolen and a pretender to the presidency was officially inaugurated. We have continued stating this even when it was unclear whether he would have enough support for a comeback—or whether he wanted to. We do not know how this will unfold. But keep watching the statements Mr. Trump releases, the rallies he holds around the nation, and the attacks that leftists will continue to mount against him.

He is not finished. We still believe Donald Trump is coming back.
