South Africa on Verge of Civil War

In an interview with trt World, published June 9, South African firebrand politician Julius Malema said, “[W]e’ve not called for the killing of white people, at least for now. I can’t guarantee the future.”

Malema, who leads South Africa’s third-largest political party, said this during a discussion about the legality of state-sanctioned seizure of farmland owned by white people in the nation. “If things are going the way they are, there will be a revolution in this country,” he continued. “There will be an unled revolution in this country, and an unled revolution is the highest form of anarchy.”

How imminent is revolution in what the World Bank considers the most demographically unequal nation in the world?

Canadian Government Welcomes Back Islamic State Jihadists

According to documents obtained by Global News, the Canadian administration of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau believes Canadian terrorists who have left the country to join Islamists in the Middle East have a “right to return” to Canada—and the right to have the government facilitate their re-assimilation into Canadian society.

Approximately 60 terrorists have already returned to Canada, in addition to the 190 still fighting abroad in places like Syria and Iraq. Canada’s High Risk Returnee Interdepartmental Task Force will partner with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in an aggressive campaign to “support” and “open up dialogue” with returning terrorists and their families.

This week, news outlets, media personalities, politicians, celebrities and ordinary citizens joined together to condemn United States President Donald Trump for breaking up families of illegal immigrants.

Is it that simple? Does President Trump hate these families so much that he’s breaking them up? What are the facts?

Italy Refuses Asylum to More Than 600 Refugees

On June 10, Italy refused to allow a ship carrying more than 600 refugees to dock in any of its ports.

According to EU law, refugees must apply for asylum in the first European country they enter. But the ship remained in limbo for several days as Europe squabbled over who should take responsibility for the refugees, further highlighting the disunity in the European Union—and Europe’s growing desire for strong leadership.

Knighted: For Services to Prostitution

The 2018 New Zealand Queen’s Birthday Honors List of recipients for the Order of Merit listed Ms. Catherine Alice Healy as its first recipient.

Healy is a longtime sex worker and founder of the New Zealand Prostitutes Collective, an organization she has led since 1989. She was once arrested for sex work during the 1980s—the solicitation of which, back then, was illegal. Now she is being honored “for services to the rights of sex workers.”
