Same-Sex Marriage Constitutional in Canada

Canada’s supreme said that the government could legalize same-sex marriage without violating the constitution. “The move comes hours after New Zealand’s parliament voted to recognize civil unions between [homosexual] couples. … Prime Minister Paul Martin said his Liberal government would bring in [same-sex] marriage legislation in the new year.”
