“North Korea is deploying new ballistic missiles that can carry nuclear warheads and may have sufficient range to hit the U.S. mainland …. Jane’s [Defense Weekly] said North Korea had customized a dozen scrapped Russian submarines to launch ballistic weapons of mass destruction. … Apart from aiming at the U.S., South Korea or Japan, cash-strapped North Korea might try to sell the technology to countries that have bought its missiles in the past, with Iran a prime candidate ….”
