Russia Closing In on Ukraine Supply Chain

Russian troops are nearing a major supply line close to Sobolivka in Ukraine’s Kupiansk region, Gwara Media reported Monday.

Why it matters: If Russian forces continue to advance, they will control the junction of two major highways in Kupiansk, denying Ukraine access and facilitating a stronger Russian offensive.

Significant fighting has also been taking place about 85 miles to the south of the city, where Russia recently won a major breakthrough.

Years before Russia invaded Ukraine, the Trumpet asserted that it would likely reconquer some of its former Soviet states.
