Did Jeffrey Epstein Kill Himself?

Magic mushrooms are the latest trendy drug. But are they the harmless path to self-discovery as they are portrayed? Find out in our main story.

Did Jeffrey Epstein kill himself? Epstein is quickly becoming a major controversy for the Trump administration. The FBI and Department of Justice released a memo on Sunday concluding that Epstein committed suicide and had no “client list.” Attorney General Pam Bondi had earlier said the list was on her desk awaiting her attention—now her department says it doesn’t exist. The DOJ also released footage showing that no one entered Epstein’s cell the night he died. The time stamp on the footage jumps from 11:58:58 p.m. to 12:00:00 a.m., which Bondi says happens every night due to the way the recording system is configured.

[BRIEF]

“Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” President Trump asked Tuesday as reporters questioned the inconsistencies. Many of those in the MAGA movement understandably want answers. Mark Bradman, blogging under the name Sundance at Conservative Treehouse, blames those around the president for hiding how important the truth is to his supporters.

Did Epstein kill himself? Are members of the Trump administration covering for Epstein’s clients?

I don’t have any inside information on that specifically. But the Bible has a lot to say about the rampant immorality among America’s elites. “Though Epstein is now dead, revelations keep emerging about how many extremely rich, extremely powerful, extremely well-known people continued to associate with him after his 2005 conviction,” wrote Trumpet executive editor Stephen Flurry last year. “You need to understand these revelations. It is a stomach-churning topic to look into, but Americans have to see the spiritual sickness that has beset their nation if they are to stand a chance of turning it around.” He continued:

God wants this sordid world of perversions exposed so the American people can see just how far they have fallen from the pure standard He set for us in the Bible. The Prophet Ezekiel wrote that the leaders of end-time spiritual Israel, the Church of God, would be involved in “wicked abominations” that take place “in the dark” where they believe “the Lord sees us not.” Clearly, similar sins infect the elites of end-time physical Israel (America, Britain and the Jewish nation in the Middle East primarily).

Britain steps toward sharing nuclear weapons with Europe: Britain and France agreed to coordinate their use of nuclear weapons for the first time ever. During his state visit to the UK, French President Emmanuel Macron signed a declaration with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to work “more closely than ever before” on nuclear weapons. It says that the countries’ nuclear arsenals “remain independent but can be coordinated and that there is no extreme threat to Europe that would not prompt a response by both nations.” That double negative is hard to follow, so Britain’s Defense Ministry spelled it out more clearly: “Any adversary threatening the vital interests of Britain or France could be confronted by the strength of the nuclear forces of both nations.”

It’s critical to see the context here. In the run-up to his election, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz repeatedly called for a shared nuclear defense. On February 22, he said, “We need to have discussions with both the British and the French—the two European nuclear powers—about whether nuclear sharing, or at least nuclear security from the UK and France, could also apply to us.”

France is rumored to be preparing to deploy jets with nuclear weapons to Germany. And now their signing nuclear cooperation agreements with the UK. William Alberque of the Pacific Forum said that this declaration “is the clearest and firmest statement we have ever heard” from France “about their willingness to provide nuclear deterrence for the rest of Europe.”

“It’s certainly a signal towards Russia, and other potential adversaries, that that the UK and France can consider nuclear retaliation in the event of an attack, but not just on either of those two countries—there’s a European dimension to this as well,” said Lukasz Kulesa of the Royal United Services Institute.

America already shares nuclear bombs with Germany. Not only is Britain stepping toward doing the same thing, it’s also reducing America’s hold over Germany by offering Berlin an alternative to America’s nuclear umbrella.

Britain and France moved closer on this visit, with Allister Heath warning of “the dystopian nightmare of Frangleterre, a couple of failed states for the price of one, both locked into an economic, cultural and social doom spiral.”

But sharing these most powerful weapons with Europe could be the most significant outcome. “How naive America is to entrust this immense firepower to nations that so recently—and throughout history—have proved to be enemies of the free world!” wrote Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry about America’s decision to share nuclear weapons with Germany. He warned: “The trust America is placing in Germany is absolutely condemned by the Bible. Why? Because it is trusting other nations rather than trusting God.” Britain is committing the same sin.

Iran-backed Houthi rebels have taken hostages after sinking a second cargo ship in the Red Sea.The Greek-operated Eternity C was hit by drone boats and missiles until it sunk yesterday, according to the Houthis. They said four sailors were killed, and they captured six from the water as hostages. Fifteen are unaccounted for.

Over the weekend the Houthis sunk Magic Seas, a Liberian-flagged ship. That time, the entire crew was rescued by a U.A.E. vessel.

The attacks have caused the cost of insuring ships traveling through the Red Sea to more than double since Sunday.

This step-up in Houthi attacks could put more pressure on Europe, prompting Europe’s nations to ramp up their naval power around the Middle East.

“The king of the south is going to push at the king of the north,” Mr. Flurry writes in his booklet The King of the South, “probably brandishing its power over the Mediterranean-Red Sea route. Libya, Ethiopia and the other nations along the Red Sea play a key role in Iran’s trade route strategy. That push will be a dramatic act of war that will provoke a violent response from the king of the north.”

“Could the Houthi attacks be part of that push?” Mr. Flurry asked in our May-June 2024 Trumpet issue. He continued: “You see how serious this situation is growing. It certainly could grow into that big push, and it could come soon.”

That the Houthis are the one Iranian proxy to keep fighting suggests Iran still has plans for Yemen. Keep watching Yemen and how Iran uses its leverage there to disrupt trade to Europe.

America is running low on Patriot missiles with only a quarter of the number it needs. Fighting in Ukraine and the Middle East has drained America’s stocks. America has a powerful military, but many of these weapons are expensive and can take a long time to build.

Six Secret Service agents have been suspended over the assassination attempt of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. They’re suspended for a matter of days or weeks. “The fact that someone was able to shoot Donald Trump shows criminal incompetence at best,” we wrote last year. The suspensions show the shooting is being looked into to a certain extent. Our article “The Truth About the Assassination Attempt” has more.

The Trump administration sued the state of California yesterday under Title IX of the Civil Rights Act for allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports and use their locker rooms. “The Justice Department will not stand for policies that deprive girls of their hard-earned athletic trophies and ignore their safety on the field and in private spaces,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon. It’s good to see the Trump administration stand up to this evil.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio put sanctions on UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for her support of the International Criminal Court’s efforts to prosecute Israeli and American nationals. This may be the most high-profile instance so far of accusing the UN of institutional anti-Semitism, but as our April 2024 issue shows, it is hardly the only one.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen survived a vote of no confidence in the European Parliament today. But she’s been warned she’s had her “absolute last chance.” Dissatisfaction in her is more evidence that Europe wants new, stronger leadership, as our In Brief explains.

At least 31 people died and hundreds were arrested in anti-government protests in Nairobi, Kenya. President William Ruto has ordered police to shoot to incapacitate protesters who vandalize businesses. The protesters, calling themselves the Saba Saba People’s March, have as their main goal to pressure Ruto not to run again for reelection. Kenya has, in general, been spared much of the unrest hurting other African countries, but it is not immune. The protests show how even a relatively stable country is at risk.
