Nuclear Iran Means Nuclear War

What is building in Iran now will play a part in fulfilling the most important single prophecy in the Bible.

Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is about to get nuclear weapons, and he thinks of America and Israel as the Great Satan and the Little Satan. What does that mean for America? What does it mean for Israel? It’s something we really need to think about. Nuclear weapons in the hands of such a man means war!

Ahmadinejad has already shown by his state-sponsored terrorism that he will go to war. Iran is fighting a war against America and Israel right now, and we don’t seem to understand that. That’s what the war of terrorism is all about. The Iranians are behind the terrorism—yet nobody has the courage to stand up and confront them. The only way the Iranians will ever be stopped is through confrontation. It will never, ever happen by negotiation.

This is the same problem the Western world faced leading up to World War ii with Adolf Hitler. Hitler and his religious thugs came on the scene in the 1930s. Hitler told everybody what he was going to do in Mein Kampf—but nobody believed him except Winston Churchill. Churchill could see the danger, and he warned for years. Most people, however, simply would not believe what he had to say. Practically everybody from all of the major institutions called Churchill a warmonger. It wasn’t until Hitler started World War ii that they finally listened to him.

Have we learned anything from that monstrous World War ii experience with Adolf Hitler? Charles Krauthammer wrote this on washingtonpost.com, Dec. 21, 2007:

Just four months after Sept. 11, George Bush identified Iran, Iraq and North Korea as the “axis of evil” and declared that defanging these rogue regimes was America’s most urgent national security task. … Bush has thrown in the towel on Iran’s nuclear program because the intelligence bureaucracy, in a spectacularly successful coup, seized control of the policy with a National Intelligence Estimate [nie] that very misleadingly trumpeted the claim that Iran had halted its nuclear program. In fact, Iran halted only the least important component of its nuclear program, namely weaponization.

We should be deeply concerned about that. Our security is at stake in this dangerous world.

Krauthammer continued, “The hard part is the production of nuclear fuel. Iran continues enriching uranium with 3,000 centrifuges at work in open defiance of UN Security Council resolutions. Once you have the necessary fuel, you can make the bomb in only a few months” (emphasis mine throughout). The United Nations rarely enforces its resolutions. That is why it often causes more problems than it solves.

The administration had to immediately release and accept the nie’s sensational conclusions because the report would have been leaked and the administration then accused of covering up good news to justify going to war, the assumption being that George Bush and Dick Cheney have a Patton-like lust for the smell of battle.

The administration understands that the nie’s distorted message that Iran has given up pursuing nukes has not only taken any military option off the table but also jeopardized any further sanctions against Iran. Making the best of the lost cause, Bush will now go through the motions until the end of his term, leaving the Iranian bomb to his successor.

Actually, his successor is unlikely to have the will to do anything about it. This is one of the most shameful, deceitful and damaging intelligence reports ever issued by the United States government.

Israel has good intelligence services, certainly better than those behind this report. According to the Israelis, the nie report represents a treacherous betrayal of their nation because now they can’t even act to stop Iran themselves. If they did act, the world would call them warmongers.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad leads the number-one terrorist-sponsoring nation in the world. He is about to add nuclear weapons to those terrorist acts. He has pledged to wipe Israel off the map, implying he would use nuclear bombs to do just that. Now President Bush doesn’t have any public support to even impose strong sanctions against Iran, let alone use a military attack to knock out those nuclear facilities. Russia and China have said there should be no additional sanctions against Iran—so the president is helpless to do anything. Notice these comments from the Wall Street Journal, Aug. 8, 2006, by Bernard Lewis:

There is a radical difference between the Islamic Republic of Iran and other governments with nuclear weapons. A passage from the Ayatollah Khomeini [the one who got all this state-sponsoring terrorism started] quoted in an 11th-grade Iranian schoolbook, is revealing. “I am decisively announcing to the whole world that if the world-devourers [i.e., the infidel powers] wish to stand against our religion, we will stand against their whole world and will not cease until the annihilation of all them. Either we all become free, or we will go to the greater freedom which is martyrdom. Either we shake one another’s hands in joy at the victory of Islam in the world, or all of us will turn to eternal life and martyrdom. In both cases, victory and success are ours.”In this context, mutual assured destruction [mad], the deterrent that worked so well during the Cold War, would have no meaning.

We know that most Islamic people don’t believe this way, but this is the mindset of the man who is about to get nuclear bombs. In some ways he is much more frightening than Adolf Hitler was. After all, Hitler never had nuclear weapons at his disposal. What do you suppose he would have done with them if he had?

Ahmadinejad is about to get nuclear weapons, and that is okay with America’s intelligence officials. This is their way of hiding from reality.

What happens if the Iranians trigger World War iii? They will drag this world into a nuclear abyss. This concerns our human survival!

FrontPageMagazine.com hosted a symposium called “The Day After.” Dore Gold, Israel’s UN ambassador from 1997 through 1999 and a bestselling author, contributed to it. Mr. Gold wrote about this problem with Iran and its nuclear weapons:

[T]he idea that somehow Israel could live with a nuclear Iran is … problematic as a possible line of policy. It presupposes that a nuclear Iran can be deterred just like the Soviet Union during the Cold War. … Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is known to be a follower of the Mahdaviat, radical Shiite associations in Iran [that] believe in the imminent return of an Islamic savior, known as the Twelfth Imam—or Mahdi (literally, the “Rightly Guided”). Adherents to these associations moreover believe that the Mahdi’s arrival can be accelerated by man through apocalyptic chaos and violence.

That doctrine is a twisted counterfeit of Matthew 24:21-22. That passage reads, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved [“saved alive,” the Moffatt says]: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Jeremiah 30:4-7 and Daniel 12:1 say essentially the same thing.

Yes, the Messiah will return and shorten those days! That’s the best news we could possibly hear. But this world is about to experience some extreme suffering in order to learn to believe Christ rather than believing National Intelligence Estimates that are not true intelligence at all.

Notice how Ahmadinejad twists Matthew 24:21-22. He believes that by using nuclear bombs, he speeds the return of his messiah and saves his Muslim cohorts. Dore Gold continued, “… Ahmadinejad has stated that ‘our revolution’s main mission is to pave the way for the re-appearance of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi.’ It is not surprising that many Iran experts assert that Ahmadinejad sees Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons as means of paving the way for the Mahdi’s arrival. Indeed, many of the adherents to these associations believe that the destruction of Israel is a PREREQUISITE for the Mahdi’s appearance.” This man says the mission of their revolution is to pave the way for this return of his messiah—and he can hasten that by nuking people. That is the mindset we’re dealing with in Iran. It’s not like Russia and the Cold War after World War ii.

Ahmadinejad’s god is on the side of the nuclear bomb throwers. His god somehow delights in him nuking other nations, of all things. What a diabolical concept!

The motive of his god is the exact opposite of what Christ will do.

Christ said He would have to cut time short, or those in the spirit of Ahmadinejad would annihilate all human life on this planet! Conditions will cause Christ to accelerate His return and cut short these days because they’re so dangerous that they would exterminate all human life! That is something we should think seriously about! Christ will return to stop the use of nuclear bombs forever and save humanity alive.

These are two extremely different scenarios. One is the act of monstrous hatred; the other, an act of unparalleled, godly love.

How did Jesus Christ know 2,000 years ago that men would be racing to build weapons of mass destruction in the end time? When He walked this Earth, they didn’t have armaments anything like what we have today. Why don’t religious leaders talk about this? These are prophecies Jesus Christ proclaimed—not some mad leader of this world. Matthew 24 is the most important single prophecy in the Bible—a miniature book of Revelation! Still, you hear virtually nothing about it today from Christian leaders.

Iran has enormous amounts of oil money, and its leader feels he can accelerate the return of his messiah by nuking and killing millions, maybe even billions, of people. This is the world you live in! This insanity is going to touch the lives of every one of us. How can we escape? Christ said that He would protect you, whether you’re an individual or a nation, if you heed His warning. It’s either that, or face the nuclear abyss. This is the world you and I live in—exactly as Christ said it would be.

Do you and I have the courage to face the truth? The nie is out of touch with reality! We all need to try to face reality! The Bible teaches that only the truth can set us free.

Dore Gold wrote this: “In short, given the spread of these ‘end of days’ doctrines among the current Iranian leaders, the promise of ‘massive retaliation’ by the West may not deter them from using weapons of mass destruction in a first strike, if they are striving to generate an Armageddon-like scenario, in accordance with their belief structure. Thus anyone who says with confidence that the West can get used to a nuclear Iran and rely on classic deterrence models has absolutely no idea what he is up against.” That is the truth. I don’t see how anybody could fail to see that.

Another writer in that FrontPageMagazine.com symposium, Steven Schippert, said this ought to be “the West’s greatest fear.” Is it? Apparently not.

Christ told us in Matthew 24—the greatest prophecy He gave when He was on Earth—that ALL this would happen! It is prophesied! Why won’t we believe Christ? How could He know with such precision what would happen in this end time, 2,000 years after He walked this Earth, if He wasn’t God in the flesh? It’s easy to see what will happen if we don’t heed His warning.

Schippert also wrote in that symposium on Iran,

Few care to tackle the otherworldly nature of the fantastic religious beliefs of many in leadership positions in the mullah regime. The otherworldly mysticism within the messianic Hojjetiah sect, headed by Ahmadinejad’s religious mentor, Ayatollah Mezbah Yazdi, would simply shock most sensible Westerners. So fantastical are some of the details that most would believe that those who would write of it were sensationalizing. I have heard, in fact, that several universally respected Middle Eastern writers who are knowledgeable of it will not touch it for that very reason. The West would be inclined to flat disbelieve that such lunatics could rise to power in any nation in today’s world, even Iran.

Imagine that. Mr. Schippert says several respected Middle East writers won’t write about the subject because they think the West would not believe that such “lunatics” could rise to power. And these leaders are about to get nuclear bombs!

This is almost exactly how the West reacted to Adolf Hitler and his gang of misfits. Many people in the West wouldn’t even believe in the concentration camps until near the end or after World War ii. (Ahmadinejad still believes the Holocaust never happened!)

Are we just about to make the same mistake again? If so, this time the error will be about a million times worse!

The expression “otherworldly” is not of itself bad. Over 100 prophecies tell us about the Messiah’s return. Members of Judaism and Christianity believe in those prophecies—or say they do.

Many people talk about the end of the world, but Christ didn’t. If you study the original Greek words He used, you see He talked about the end of an age—the age of man ruling over man—and then entering into that great utopia of God’s Kingdom. Christ is going to usher in that great new civilization, which is coming very soon. But if we don’t listen to God’s message now, there will be a very painful birth into that new civilization. That painful and corrective situation is building all around us right now.

Are we going to have to see war before we believe what’s happening in Iran? The war that is prophesied to break out is worse than anything that has ever happened on Earth before! Ahmadinejad will play a key role in fulfilling Matthew 24:21-22.

The good news is that Jesus Christ is going to return! He’s going to stop the annihilation of all mankind. Even if we rebel, He will not allow any man—or 6 billion men—to obliterate all human life from this planet.

Read verses 46 and 47 of Matthew 24. Christ said, If you heed this message—if you listen to what I’m telling you and do it—I’ll make you ruler over all my goods. Look in the original Greek: That means the whole universe: Everything God has, He’ll give it to you if you’ll respond to Him today. That is the most wonderful reward you could even think of receiving!
