Germany Changes the Rules Before the AfD Can Vote
Germany’s Conference of Interior Ministers has agreed to abandon its principle of unanimous decisions, the German Press Agency reported yesterday. The decision is reportedly intended to prepare for a potential state government led by the Alternative für Deutschland.

This conference is the standing meeting of the interior ministers and senators of the 16 federal states, where they coordinate police, migration and domestic security practice.

For decades, the unwritten custom was that a resolution passed only if no state actively objected. Now, however, a new resolution can pass with only 13 of the 16 votes.
Germany is increasingly diverging from democratic norms to prevent a standstill.
Broader trend: The Telegraph and Die Welt revealed in July that the German government is secretly planning to block German states from interfering with its war preparations by developing a crisis mechanism that overrides state governments’ decision-making powers.
Many paths lead to dictatorship, and Germany is taking a few of them. The Bible reveals that Germany’s democratic norms will be suspended, giving way to militaristic authoritarian rule. Neither the AfD nor any other party will prevent this drastic military transformation.
