Russia’s casualties in Ukraine surpass 1.5 million

The Russian military’s total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine have crossed the 1.5 million mark, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said today. This number of killed and wounded is roughly 100 times larger than the Soviet Union’s losses in Afghanistan during 10 years of war.
