Cambridge University’s Incredible Time-Traveling Professor

Jason Arday is Cambridge University’s youngest-ever black professor, appointed professor of sociology of education in 2023 at age 37. His resume is literally incredible:

• He had major learning difficulties growing up, and didn’t learn to speak until age 11. At age 10, he went on a professional billiards tour.
• He ran 30 marathons in 35 days. During the 21st marathon, he broke his leg. The rest of the marathons, he ran on that broken leg. “To this day, I don’t really know how I did it.” Neither does anyone else.
• He featured on the tv documentary Seven Up, a show that began following a group of 7-year-olds as they grew up, starting in 1964. This is an especially remarkable achievement since he was born in 1985.

Skepticism of these claims is warranted, particularly due to the long list of other parts of Arday’s resumé that indicate he wasn’t being entirely honest:

• He’s accused of plagiarizing his Ph.D. thesis. His defense: He’s autistic, and his method of learning relies on mimicry.
• He claimed to have been a visiting professor at Glasgow University. He wasn’t.
• He claimed to have worked in the “office of diversity and inclusion” in Ohio State University. They have “no record of an employee of that name.”
• He claimed to raise more than $6 million for charities over 18 years. That kind of money would be part of the public record, but the evidence is not there. Now he says he was one of about 100 people who raised the cash.
• He said he traveled to South America and West Africa to install drinking water facilities for the charity WaterAid. That charity says it never sends volunteers abroad.
• He claimed to have been sent a pig’s head as racial intimidation. He named the local butchers, said the police talked to them, and said they sold a whole pig the morning he received the head. The butcher denied it all. “That’s the kind of thing we’d remember,” he said. London’s Metropolitan Police called the claims “categorically incorrect.”

The story of this serial liar has featured on Britain’s front pages for several days because of what it says about one of the nation’s most elite institutions. But it implicates more than just Cambridge.

• Professor Arday advised the government on antiracism strategies and the school curriculum. The bbc invited him to guest-edit the Today program. Good Morning America wrote him a glowing profile.

Perhaps the craziest part of all: Cambridge University still backs him. They have said the press attacks are part of a “vile campaign” to undermine a black academic. This is the institution educating Britain’s best and brightest.

At first, I questioned whether Arday’s resumé, as incredible as it was, warranted several days’ worth of front-page coverage. But I think it does.

• Britain is in a leadership crisis. We’ve had seven prime ministers in the last 10 years. Something is badly wrong with the training and education of our leaders. And where does that education happen? In Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s case, as with so many other elites, it’s Cambridge University.

In 2016, Gerald Flurry warned about “The Deadly Path of Higher Education.” He pointed to the way America’s universities prioritize radical activism—including racism against whites—writing:

The truth does not matter to these people. That fact resurfaces again and again in these stories. They don’t care about the truth—they want to destroy truth! That is very telling as to the real nature of this movement and the evil spirit behind it.

Cambridge University’s radical disregard for the truth regarding their diversity poster boy points to a dangerous evil spirit in Britain’s elite universities. Mr. Flurry continued:

There is something dreadfully wrong with the knowledge taught in these schools. Look at the fruits! We have so much of it, and it isn’t helping us! The problems in America’s universities today are powerful proof that this educational system was built on the wrong foundation. The knowledge it teaches is based on the wrong premise.

The radical problems with modern education require a radical solution. This world needs godly education—education with vision.

Iran War Update

• Iran and Oman are close to finalizing an agreement to share control of the Strait of Hormuz, the New York Times reported August 3. These negotiations appear to have the tacit blessing of the United States. Before the start of the war in February, maritime and air traffic were allowed by a United Nations Convention to use the strait. Ironically, the U.S. and Israel striking Iran could ultimately result in the latter increasing its power over the strait and global energy supplies.
• Israel and Lebanon started a new round of talks in Rome on Tuesday. The aim, as with previous talks, is to affirm disarmament of Hezbollah, Iran’s terrorist proxy in Lebanon, as well as disengagement of Israel Defense Forces from southern Lebanon, laying the groundwork for an Israel-Lebanon peace deal.

America Is Running Out of Missiles

The United States has exhausted its stockpile of long-range precision missiles in the Iran war, Reuters reported yesterday. Its sources claimed the U.S. Army has used “virtually” all its main surface-to-surface weapons, the Army Tactical Missile Systems and the Precision Strike Missiles.

• The Center for Strategic and International Studies previously reported on the shortage of Precision Strike Missiles, among many others.
• Each unit costs over $1 million.

This isn’t immediately crippling for America. Army Tactical Missile Systems are being phased out, the Department of War is drastically increasing orders of munitions, and numerous other types of missiles and bombs are available.

• But there is a risk. More powerful U.S. adversaries like Russia and China could take advantage of the situation by starting new campaigns without having to worry about the U.S. supplying weapons to their enemies. As we wrote in June: “Criminals are emboldened when they know the global policeman has no more bullets.”

Iran is not a superpower. It has no nuclear weapons (yet) and uses far less sophisticated technology than the U.S. Yet the U.S. cannot defeat it. The American military “juggernaut” is revealed, as prophesied in Leviticus 26:20, as spending its strength in vain.

The blessings and curses of Leviticus 26 apply more to modern America than most realize. These prophecies apply not only to the people of Israel who were alive at the time but to their descendants, which include the people of the United States. America’s frustrated effort in Iran is a demonstration that the curses of Leviticus are in effect.

Ukraine Left Defenseless Against Russian Missiles

In an overnight attack, Russia launched 115 drones, 24 ballistic missiles and four anti-ship missiles against Kyiv, killing 17 people. Ukraine’s air force reported that 98 drones were intercepted but none of the 28 missiles, citing a shortage of American Patriot missiles.

• “The number of missiles for air defense in the supply has been reduced threefold compared to 2025,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a social media post on Wednesday.
• President Donald Trump rejected Ukraine’s request for extra American Patriot interceptor missiles on July 28 due to depleted stockpiles.

In its attack on Kyiv last night, Russia appears to have used Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads that scatter dozens of bomblets across a wide area. The strike underscores the increasingly destructive tactics Russia is employing in its effort to conquer Ukraine.

• Many of Russia’s ballistic missiles are capable of being armed with nuclear warheads, and Ukraine is unable to fully defend itself against them.

Europe beware: Europeans regard this as yet another reason to build strong militaries. The European Union Institute for Security Studies wrote in its June report:

Despite the heavy losses it has sustained in Ukraine, Russia continues to adapt and replenish its military capabilities while testing Europe through hybrid operations, sabotage, cyberattacks and military pressure. Intelligence assessments by several member states suggest that Russia could pose a significant military challenge to nato allies as early as 2027. At the same time, Europeans can no longer take the depth or durability of U.S. support for granted.

Prophecy fulfilled: In his 2023 article “Russia’s War on Ukraine Is Reshaping Europe,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:

After the peoples of Eastern Europe gained their freedom from the Soviet Union, they put their trust mostly in America. … But when Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 and took a fifth of its land, President George W. Bush did nothing. Again in 2014 after Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimea, the U.S. under President Barack Obama yawned.

These nations see that America’s will is broken!

The Bible reveals that Russia will come out of this conflict strengthened, with America weakened. Europe sees that happening now and is preparing accordingly.
