An Unsuccessful Stab at Immortality

Good morning!

Bryan Johnson is the entrepreneur famous for experimenting on himself to reverse aging—strict diets, daily exercise, blood plasma transfused from his teenage son. Most recently, he claimed he had “cloned” himself as a newborn so he could someday harvest its cells, blood and organs for his own rejuvenation.

[BRIEF]

Johnson recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis, his immune system attacking the cells lining his stomach. In his own words, “my stomach is eating itself.”

• The condition is rare and incurable. Johnson admitted, “standard medical care concedes defeat, stating that nothing can be done except managing the condition.”

This man has invested a fortune in not dying, about $2 million a year. He is ruthless with his scientifically optimized nutrition, including 54 pills he takes each morning. A helmet-like device tracks his biomarkers; he gets routine bloodwork on his ferritin, iron and vitamin B12.

• Still, his own body was quietly destroying itself from the inside, and he doesn’t even know how long it had been happening.

Yesterday Johnson posted: “Been thinking things over and wonder if I’ve taken this whole longevity thing too far.”

• He’s on to something. Here is a man with more resources, information and motivation to defeat aging than virtually anyone alive, and his own stomach won’t cooperate.

God built an expiration date into every physical body (Hebrews 9:27). No amount of money or expertise changes that. It can be delayed, sometimes, but never canceled.

• Most of us are too cavalier about caring for the bodies God gave us. We should better obey His health laws by disciplining ourselves to eat nutritiously, exercise, sleep well, avoid injury and obey other cause-and-effect principles that produce good health.
• But when that becomes a religion itself, you lose the plot.

The Apostle Paul stated, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable” (1 Corinthians 15:19, New King James Version). At the end of his life, he wrote:

“[T]he time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
—2 Timothy 4:6-8

Christ promised to give living water that “shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14). He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, the power of God, which He makes available to human beings upon repentance and baptism (Acts 2:38).

• That spirit is called “that holy Spirit of promise, [w]hich is the earnest of our inheritance” (Ephesians 1:13-14)—that of eternal life. That is God’s guarantee in Scripture.

None of us can outrun our own biology. The true hope is not about the “miracles” of medical intervention. It is the promise of resurrection. “[A]s in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” And ultimately, “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death” (1 Corinthians 15:22, 26).

• Human death means nothing to God except a temporary sleep (verses 51-55), because God can and has and will resurrect humans from the grave!

Fauci Repeatedly Pleads the Fifth in Senate Showdown

Dr. Anthony Fauci, a central figure in the U.S. covid-19 government lockdowns, could face contempt of Congress after refusing to answer questions about the pandemic’s origins.

• On Wednesday, he appeared under subpoena before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. The hearing grew so tense that Sen. Rand Paul ordered one of Fauci’s attorneys to be removed from the room.

After reading a statement accusing the panel of trying to entrap him, Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, stating: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”

• Paul argued that Fauci should have testified because former President Joe Biden issued him a preemptive pardon. A Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee panel will vote on holding Fauci in contempt on August 5.

Nearly 400 pages of previously classified documents, released on Tulsi Gabbard’s final day as director of national intelligence, form the basis for the subpoena. According to the files, Fauci funded gain-of-function coronavirus research at a Chinese government agency, collaborated with intelligence officials to downplay the theory that covid-19 came from this lab, and later denied under oath any knowledge of those discussions.

“We know beyond a reasonable doubt that Anthony Fauci did indeed fund gain-of-function research,” Paul told Fox News on June 28. “We have the evidence that the experiments were gaining in function; the viruses were becoming more lethal, more attachable to human cells and more infectious. We do know that this was going on. It was funded by the nih, specifically under the tutelage of Anthony Fauci.”

Paul further claimed Fauci recognized early that the virus did not originate in a wet market yet helped steer intelligence assessments away from the lab-leak theory to protect his reputation.

• Gabbard’s documents show that Fauci recommended specific scientists to help the U.S. intelligence community review covid-19’s origins. He also took part in discussions about the evidence and helped push assessments away from a lab-leak explanation.

These actions contradict his 2024 congressional testimony, in which he denied under oath any knowledge of or involvement in such intelligence discussions. He not only repeatedly publicly disagreed with analysts who said the Wuhan Institute of Virology was the origin but also worked to sideline them while telling Congress he was uninvolved in such discussions.

Iran Is Forcing the Arab World to Pick Sides

Throughout the Iran war, Iran has dragged unwilling Arab countries into getting involved in hostilities. This week, this trend has gained new momentum.

• Early on Wednesday, Iran attacked the United States Muwaffaq Salti Airbase in Jordan. Past Iranian strikes have appeared mostly retaliatory, but this time, Iran struck first. The U.S. military called it an “attempted surprise attack” and reported that no one was killed.
• Three U.S. personnel died in another Iranian strike on the same air base two weeks ago.
• Shortly after these strikes, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia conducted joint strikes against Iran-affiliated militias in Iraq. The Institute for the Study of War cataloged reports of nine separate air strikes.
• This follows the Iraqi militias, known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, attacking Saudi Arabia from July 26 to 28.
• These are apparently the first publicly acknowledged U.S.-Saudi joint strikes since the war began.

Jordan and Saudi Arabia are key members of the “Psalm 83 alliance,” a coalition of Middle Eastern peoples prophesied in the Bible to join forces with German-dominated Europe.

Germany will build this alliance to oppose Iran and its radical Islamic allies, called the “king of the south” in Daniel 11:40. Despite not being explicitly mentioned in prophecy, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry points to Iraq as being part of the “king of the south alliance.”

The Iran war is not only between Iran and the U.S. Despite their best efforts to stay out, Arab nations are being forced to choose sides. Germany Leading in Anti-Semitism

Jews outside of Israel face the most persecution in Germany, according to a report released yesterday by the J7 Large Communities’ Task Force Against Anti-Semitism group. The organization represents the major Jewish communities across seven nations.

• The report examined seven countries where 90 percent of Jews outside Israel live: Australia, Germany, Argentina, Britain, Canada, France and the United States (from the smallest to the largest Jewish communities).

2025 was the deadliest year since 1994. Fifteen people were killed last year at a Islamic terrorist mass shooting at a Hanukkah festival near Australia’s Bondi Beach alone.

• There were more than 23,000 anti-Semitic incidents across the seven countries in 2025, compared to 9,800 recorded incidents in 2022.
• “Anti-Semitism in our seven countries is no longer a surge; it is our new normal,” the J7 task force said.

Germany ranked number one in anti-Semitic incidents in absolute and relative terms. It recorded 8,725 cases in 2025, more than three times as many as in 2022. Canada had the second-highest number, with 6,800 cases.

• While 807 cases in Germany are attributed to right-wing extremism, 501 to left-wing extremism and 166 to an Islamic background, most of the other cases don’t have an identified political background, the Federal Association of Departments for Research and Information on Anti-Semitism said.
• The seven countries registered 718 violent anti-Semitic incidents. Germany accounted for 182 of these.

Germany at the heart of Jew hatred: For centuries, Jews have been persecuted in Europe, by Catholic fanatics in the Crusades and Inquisition and most recently in the Holocaust.

• In the 19th century, Germany started exporting Jew hatred into the Middle East. Anti-Jewish propaganda drastically increased during World War ii, as proven in Nazis, Islamists and the Making of the Modern Middle East, a 2014 book by Middle Eastern scholars Wolfgang G. Schwanitz and Barry Rubin.

Worse to come: Today we see a deeply rooted Jew hatred in Islamist countries, among Islamist migrants and in Germany. Psalm 83 reveals these nations will ally to blot out Jewish lives.
