German foreign minister’s visit to Mexico emphasizes Catholic ties

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City yesterday to begin his two-day visit and received a blessing from a priest. He then met with Mexican counterpart Roberto Velasco, and together they cochaired a meeting of the German-Mexican Binational Commission.
