Unspeakable Crimes Against a Child

Some stories in this sin-soaked world are so shocking and heartbreaking they defy belief. We simply want to avert our attention.

  • But God sees it all. And He is angered and will judge and avenge.

[BRIEF]

Two homosexual men in northwest England adopted a 9-month-old boy, Preston Davey, in April 2023. The men underwent adoption assessment and training by the agency Adoption Now, and Oldham Council’s Adoption Panel formally approved the adoption. Shame on them.

Less than four months later, Preston was dead—after suffering unspeakable sexual and physical abuse.

  • One of the men faces charges of murder, sexual assault, cruelty, grievous bodily harm, assault by penetration, taking indecent images of a child and distributing an indecent image.
  • The other is charged with cruelty to a child, sexual assault of a child and allowing the death of a child.

A post-mortem examination cited by the prosecutor showed Preston, in the Telegraphs words, “had suffered at least 40 traumatic injuries during his time in the defendants’ care.”

  • “The jury was told the injuries included at least 30 external bruises, internal bruising to his mouth and throat, internal bruising to his bottom, bowel and bladder, lacerations to his rectum and a fractured arm.”
  • The jury was also told that “the cause of death had been an obstruction to his airway, either by smothering or having something placed in his mouth that prevented him from breathing.”

Adopted—legally—at 9 months old. Dead by 13 months old. The mind reels at such inhuman evil.

Truly, the adoption agency and government panel should be criminally liable as well for handing this infant to these psychopaths.

  • If plain sense doesn’t lead you to protect children from homosexuals, there is plenty of damning evidence that should. Richard Palmer shows in “Modern-Day Child Sacrifice” how children in same-sex homes are many times likelier to be abused or raped than those in intact, natural families and how common horror stories like Preston’s are becoming.
  • Several studies have found that homosexual men, only around 3 percent of the population, commit 30 to 40 percent of sex crimes against children.
  • Woke, “enlightened” officials are literally sacrificing children on the altar of their perverse ideology—and convincing themselves and people who should know better that this is somehow virtuous.

This is just one alarm bell ringing in a cacophony of iniquity and devilry. Hear another in our feature story this morning, “Israel Celebrates Sodomy in Sodom.”

Christ told us to pray “Thy Kingdom come” daily. Tragedies like Preston’s show why it is so vital that we do so. How desperately this world needs God’s justice!

Iran War Update

  • United States President Donald Trump’s ceasefire with Iran was supposed to expire last night. He extended it indefinitely, until Iran’s “leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal.”
  • Iranian leadership is clearly divided between political actors, who appear to want to negotiate, and the radicals in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who do not. It’s clear now that the irgc holds the power in Iran.
  • The U.S. military will continue its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz in the meantime. Trump is likely hoping to suffocate Iran back to the negotiating table as it loses an estimated $455 million a day in trade.
  • Iran attacked three ships in the strait after the ceasefire was extended.
  • Despite Iran’s doubletalk, President Trump seems desperate to make a deal to end the war, another symptom of America’s fundamental weakness.

Dems Win Big With Virginia Redistricting

Yesterday, Virginia voters narrowly approved a constitutional amendment that lets the Democratic-led state legislature use a new congressional district map. This change could help Democrats gain up to four additional seats in the U.S. House of Representatives in November’s midterm elections.

  • Virginia currently has 11 congressional districts; Democrats hold six and Republicans hold five. The new map is drawn to favor Democrats strongly. Based on recent election results, experts project it could shift the state’s delegation to as many as 10 Democrats and just one Republican.

The vote marks a key moment in the ongoing national fight over mid-decade redistricting.

  • It started last summer when President Donald Trump encouraged Republican-led states, such as Texas, to redraw their maps to gain more seats. Democrats in Virginia pushed back with their own plan, and voters approved it in a close election.

This new map bypasses Virginia’s usual bipartisan redistricting commission for now. The change is temporary and applies to the 2026, 2028 and 2030 elections.

  • However, legal challenges are still pending, including a case before the Virginia Supreme Court that could affect whether the new map is used.

God is using President Trump to temporarily save America long enough for people to have a chance to repent of their sins, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explains in America Under Attack. Yet if the American people do not take this chance, greater destruction than the Obama-Biden administration awaits. This year’s midterm elections will indicate whether the Trump resurgence is coming to an end.

Germany and Brazil Unite Against U.S.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met on Monday as part of Germany’s efforts to break from the United States and form a new economic bloc.

  • The meeting followed the world’s largest industrial fair in Germany on Sunday, which featured Brazil as its official partner country. It also arrived just before the EU-Latin America mercosur agreement, strongly supported by both Brazil and Germany, comes into provisional effect on May 1.

The two sides announced that they would work together to buy military equipment and that they reached 12 other agreements in areas including quantum computing, critical minerals, artificial intelligence and climate research.

  • The Brazilian president, in a press conference after the discussions, said the two nations will also work on “digital infrastructure such as data centers” to cut dependence on foreign companies, likely meaning American ones.

Merz said he “wholeheartedly endorses” doubling Germany and Brazil’s trade volume in the coming years. Ties between the two nations have never been more necessary, he said, as the “world order is undergoing such fundamental changes.”

  • By stating the world order is fundamentally changing and presenting such alliances as a solution, Merz is essentially calling on countries like Brazil to ally with Europe and, ultimately, to create a new trade bloc to replace the United States.

Merz criticized the U.S., stating that it has no justification for attacking Cuba, a sentiment the Brazilian leader echoed. He also claimed the Iran war is jeopardizing “economic development around the world.” Clearly, neither leader is fond of America.

The Trumpet’s predecessor, the Plain Truth, warned in 1962 that “the United States is going to be left out in the cold as two gigantic trade blocs, Europe and Latin America, mesh together and begin calling the shots in world commerce. The United States is going to be literally besieged—economically—frozen out of world trade!”

The results of Monday’s meeting and the subsequent comments from Brazil’s and Germany’s leaders show that those two blocs are meshing now, fueled by noticeable anti-America sentiment.

Houthis Threaten to Close Bab el-Mandeb

If U.S. President Donald Trump resumes fighting with Iran, its Houthi proxies could block shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb strait, Houthi Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi threatened in a post on X on Sunday. He said that once they close it, “all of mankind and jinn [spirits] will be utterly powerless to open it.”

  • The Bab el-Mandeb, only about 18 miles wide at its narrowest point, is the strait that, with the Suez Canal, connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean via the Red Sea.
  • Traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb is already about half of what it would normally be due to previous Houthi attacks and threats. A resumption of Houthi terrorism on civilian shipping would push up energy prices around the world even more.

About 20 percent of the world’s oil normally passes through Hormuz, and another 10 percent passes through Bab el-Mandeb. This makes Iran’s alliance with the Houthis vital. Together they can threaten nearly a third of the world’s oil.

Daniel 11:40-44 indicate that Egypt, Ethiopia and Libya will ally with the radical Islamic regime in Iran. In “Libya and Ethiopia Reveal Iran’s Military Strategy,” Trumpet publisher Gerald Flurry explained that these nations will ally with Iran because of a secret Islamic strategy to control the world’s oil trade.

Iran is attacking Saudi Arabia through Iraq: Iran-backed Iraqi militias have sent dozens of drones into Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states during the Iran war, targeting oil infrastructure, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. This further increases the resolve of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations to fight Iran, which matches Bible prophecies that the Gulf states will ally with Germany to destroy Iran.

AI-fueled Russian cyberattacks stir fear in Europe: Russia is using artificial intelligence to conduct mass cyberattacks against Europe, the Dutch military’s 2025 report, released Tuesday, warns. The report notes that Russian hackers can now “partially automate their attacks” using AI. Technological advancements and increased belligerence in cyberwarfare will motivate Europe to build up its own cyberwarfare capabilities, which will be used for more than just defense.

Israeli diplomats and embassies have been targeted about 30 times since Oct. 7, 2023. Israel Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said on Monday that in addition to these acts of terrorism, Israel is the country most frequently attacked militarily and politically. To learn why the surge in anti-Semitism is an ominous trend for the whole world, read “The One Minority Society Loves to Hate.”

Flooding in New Zealand: New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington, and its surrounding region were under a state of emergency yesterday as heavy rains brought flash floods and landslides. People in low-lying areas were asked to relocate, and over 100 schools closed. As of yesterday, one man was declared missing. The damage could have been far worse. But as our Trends article brings out, weather disasters like this one are more than just happenstance. They are a warning.

Anti-racist group indicted for funding extreme racism: Yesterday, a grand jury in Montgomery, Alabama, handed down an indictment charging the Southern Poverty Law Center with 11 criminal counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering. Between 2014 and 2023, the organization funneled more than $3 million to individuals associated with the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, the National Socialist Party of America and other extremist groups. FBI Director Kash Patel said, “They lied to their donors, vowing to dismantle violent extremist groups, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups ….” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “The splc is manufacturing racism to justify its existence.” In defense, the Southern Poverty Law Center said these funds were to pay informants. This is an evil group, but looking at the amount of money—$3 million, over 10 years, to at least eight different organizations—they are probably telling the truth; it would be too little money to significantly fund these groups. However, the Bible reveals that America is being artificially divided over the issue of race and led into a devastating civil war.

Florida launches criminal investigation involving ChatGPT: Following the deadly campus shooting at Florida State University last year, Florida is investigating the possible role of Chatgpt, a popular artificial intelligence chatbot made by OpenAI. State Attorney General James Uthmeier said yesterday that prosecutors determined that Chatgpt “offered significant advice to the shooter before he committed such heinous crimes.” At an event in Tampa, he said, “If this were a person on the other end of the screen, we would be charging them with murder. Just because this is a chatbot in AI does not mean that there is not criminal culpability.” Florida is also pursuing criminal and civil investigations into OpenAI regarding child sex abuse material and the encouragement of self-harm and suicide. Despite these kinds of abhorrent evils, developers are racing to develop AI further.
