Electoral paralysis in Denmark?
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s Social Democrats once again earned a plurality from Denmark voters, but they received only 22 percent of the total, their weakest result in more than a century, which prompted Frederiksen to resign. Neither the center-left Social Democrats and its left-wing bloc nor any other alliance has a majority, which means that, once again, another European democracy could struggle to form a coalition and suffer political paralysis.
