Sell America
Good morning!
How much longer will America be the world’s most powerful economy? Despite President Trump’s claim that it’s the “hottest country,” signs are that global investors are moving their money away from U.S. assets, especially stocks and the dollar.
[BRIEF]
The Trump administration is making a lot of investors jittery. It has challenged the independence of the Federal Reserve; threatened trade conflicts with Europe, Asia and many other nations; and pursued monetary policies viewed as inconsistent.
This is putting investors in a “Sell America” mood, the New York Times reports. Meanwhile, gold and silver have reached record highs, reflecting investor alarm.
When asked about the dollar falling to a four-year low compared to other currencies, Trump said he was unconcerned, saying it makes products more affordable. That comment rattled investors all the more, and the value dropped further. Other officials tried to reassure them that the government still supports a strong dollar, and Trump’s pick for the next Federal Reserve chair is a dollar advocate—so investors just don’t know what to expect.
An additional concern is how severely America’s market is concentrated in a handful of AI-linked tech stocks. The Magnificent Seven (Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, nvidia and Tesla) now make up over a third of the value of the S&P 500. AI optimism is propping up an otherwise unimpressive economy.
It’s a monumental risk, since it will be years before the extravagant investments in AI pay off, if they ever do.
The AI boom is built on a self-reinforcing money loop. Big Tech is spending huge on AI infrastructure: nvidia chips, data centers, cloud infrastructure, AI model training. Thus, nvidia’s explosive growth is largely coming from other tech giants. Cloud growth is coming from AI start-ups renting computing power from Big Tech; these startups are funded by the same giants, and they use their funding to buy more cloud and chips from those same companies.
Stock prices rise based on this “growth”—investors see nvidia revenue, cloud demand and AI use all taking off. But a major chunk of that demand is AI companies selling to each other, not large numbers of businesses making real, profitable use of it in the broader economy.
No wonder so many people are nervous. The whole bet boils down to one question: Will AI create enough real-world economic value to justify the trillions being spent? If not, look out.
Based on Bible prophecy, the Trumpet has warned for years that America will experience a catastrophic economic collapse. The economy has held out longer than we expected, but at the cost of developing bigger bubbles and greater debt, meaning a more devastating crash. As investor Warren Buffett famously said, “If something can’t go on forever, it will end.” The factors currently at play are hastening that end.
EU Fights U.S. Over X
French government agents raided the Paris offices of X (formerly Twitter) yesterday as part of a criminal investigation of the U.S.-based social media platform. They asked X’s owner, Elon Musk, to attend a voluntary interview in a couple of months.
Authorities accuse X of interfering in French politics by tweaking its algorithm. Before being bought by Musk, Twitter actively interfered in politics in the United States and around the world. However, France’s government establishment generally supported that effort—so the raid carries with it more than a little hypocrisy and perhaps worse.
French prosecutors have added X’s artificial intelligence agent, called Grok, to their investigation, accusing it of Holocaust denial and impugning its ability to respond to users who upload photos of people then prompt it to generate realistic images of what they would look like without clothes.
- Such use of AI is truly abhorrent. But in terms of power and politics, the conspicuous lack of French investigations into other similar AI tools suggests that the agenda here is not online safety, justice or democracy, but rather an excuse to attack X and weaken American tech, especially if it can also indirectly weaken the Trump administration.
Musk may not be the underdog in this fight, though: He has much of the U.S. government on his side. The House Judiciary Committee issued the “European Censorship Files” on X yesterday, documenting the way the EU blocks free speech for Americans on social media.
“Put simply, the boundaries of debate on political topics like mass migration, men in women’s sports, and more are set by community guidelines,” they wrote. “When governments pressure platforms to change their community guidelines, they are changing what Americans are allowed to post in the United States or anywhere else.”
This is not just a fight about X or Musk. It’s a fight between the U.S. government and the European Union.
- The two governments are also sparring over how Facebook, Instagram and YouTube censor speech. The German government is also considering a new law that would force Netflix and Amazon to invest in Germany, which the Trump administration opposes.
EuroIntelligence argued that this war over online contact is actually a “far more important breaking point than Greenland” for the EU and U.S. Here, “there is no foreseeable solution.”
This is not a fight Donald Trump started. The EU has been trying to control what Americans can say online long before he came into office. But it exposes yet another deep crack in the trans-Atlantic alliance and the entire postwar order. For America, free speech is sacred. For Europe, it isn’t. Europeans operate on fundamentally different value systems.
“Germany’s ambitions for the Internet should concern everyone, even those who don’t have a computer,” wrote Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry in 2019. “The EU’s behavior on this issue exposes the dictatorial nature of this German-dominated entity. Really, we are witnessing the manifestation of the spirit of the Holy Roman Empire in the tech world. The biblically prophesied seventh and final resurrection of this empire wants to control the Internet!”
The Holy Roman Empire is rising in Europe. Expect to see more and more revelations that its culture, its economy and, ultimately, its military are fundamentally opposed to the United States.
‘Deep State’ Targets Tulsi Gabbard
America’s undead “deep state” keeps fighting back. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has warned about the threats spy agencies pose to American citizens and has tried to reform them. But the spies are counterattacking.
In May 2025, Gabbard took decisive action regarding the National Intelligence Council, a key analytical body responsible for producing strategic assessments and daily briefs for the president. She removed it from the partial control of the Central Intelligence Agency and placed it directly under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where she can control it.
Gabbard also fired National Intelligence Council Chairman Mike Collins and his deputy director after they produced a strategic assessment contradicting the Trump administration’s public claims about Venezuelan gang activity and its alleged ties to the Maduro regime.
An anonymous whistleblower then filed a complaint against Gabbard in May that remains highly classified. Its basic nature is still unknown to the public, but reports from the Wall Street Journal and other sources state that it was from “an office within a different federal agency.” The respected Conservative Treehouse blogger thought to be Mark Bradman has dogmatically stated that it was the “National Intelligence Council.” He wrote:
dni Tulsi Gabbard has been removing the Intelligence Community tentacles used to control political policy. The Intelligence Community and the downstream stakeholders hate her. Here’s where it becomes important to understand the full context of what dni Gabbard did in May 2025 to infuriate the IC. The cia was running another impeachment operation when dni Tulsi Gabbard intercepted it. The issue involved President Trump and Marco Rubio designating Tren de Aragua (TdA) as a terror group operating as part of the coordinated effort by Venezuela dictator Nicolás Maduro. To undermine Trump/Rubio, the National Intelligence Council within the cia created analysis that contradicted the White House claim.
Whatever the truth of these matters is, it has become plain that radical leftists have used the federal government’s 18 spy agencies to exert control over the government and the people, even when Democrats are in the minority. Gabbard’s attempts to reduce the cia’s influence over the government are vital to the nation’s future.
Americans today are not living in the nation of their Founding Fathers or even of their own fathers. The nation’s government is evolving away from the constitutional republic it once was into an authoritarian technocracy where power is concentrated in the shadows.
IN OTHER NEWS
The post-World War ii global order is “dead,” former president of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi said at KU Leuven in Belgium on Monday. In his speech upon receiving an honorary doctorate, the European unification advocate said that “the collapse of this order is not itself the threat …. [T]he threat is what may replace it.” He warned that Europe risks becoming “subordinated, divided and deindustrialized at once.” He added: “Of all those who today find themselves squeezed between the United States and China, only Europeans have the option of becoming a true power themselves.” Europe’s crises are indeed forging it into a true power that will shock the world. The Bible reveals exactly what kind of power it will become.
Europe continues asserting control in the Arctic: nato announced yesterday that it is moving forward with plans for “Arctic Sentry,” a military exercise first proposed by Europe in January as an assertion of European control over Greenland. President Trump had threatened to acquire the strategic island for the United States, by force if necessary. European nato nations pushed back, even sending small numbers of troops to commence Operation Arctic Endurance, which is scheduled to continue for the rest of the year. The Arctic is crucial for strategic defense, particularly ballistic missile defense. President Trump’s push to own Greenland indicates that he considers existing agreements with Europe unreliable. This friction is a foreshock of the U.S. and Europe becoming not only troubled allies but predator and prey.
Germany increases cooperation with Saudi Arabia: Germany and Saudi Arabia held the 21st session of the Saudi-German Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation in Riyadh on Monday. The countries sought to increase collaboration in energy, industry and investments, and explored opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy, health care, hydrogen and technology. Germany’s n-tv said, “German government officials are currently making pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia in droves” amid the heightened interest in strengthening relations. Germany seeks independence from the U.S. in vital sectors such as energy; Saudi Arabia wants German technology. Bible prophecy reveals that there will be much more than economic and technical cooperation between the Germans and Saudis. It forecasts that Germany will form a major military alliance with certain Middle Eastern nations to fight the Iran-aligned bloc. Germany is building the groundwork for this alliance right now. To learn more, read “The Hidden Danger in Germany’s ‘Alliance Against Iran.’”
U.S. Navy downs Iranian drone: An F-35 fighter jet from the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier shot down an Iranian drone that the Navy says was “aggressively” approaching the carrier in the Arabian Sea “with unclear intent.” The drone was reported as a Shahed-139, a one-way weapon designed to crash into targets. This confrontation comes as the U.S. and Iran are planning direct talks on Friday to de-escalate a military standoff. An attack drone approaching a $10 billion American carrier and its strike group indicates that Iran—identified in the Bible as the end-time king of the south—is not backing down from its provocative foreign policy.
Netanyahu unhappy after Witkoff visit: United States Special Envoy Steve Witkoff met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem yesterday, en route to possible negotiations with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Turkey. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office’s press release stated that Netanyahu “reiterated the uncompromising demand for the disarmament of Hamas” and “the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip,” an indication that Witkoff was not in agreement. Netanyahu also “clarified that the Palestinian Authority will not be part of the administration of the Gaza Strip in any way.” This comes as U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza Executive Committee revealed its emblem, which resembles that of the Palestinian Authority, drawing complaints from Israel. America and Israel have different expectations and visions for Gaza. The Bible says division between these two nations, both of which descended from the ancient Israelites, will lead to disaster.
Anti-Semitic crimes in New York City rose sharply in January: On Monday, the New York City Police Department reported 31 alleged anti-Semitic hate crimes last month, an increase of 182 percent compared to last January. This rise occurred during the city’s first month under Muslim mayor Zohran Mamdani, who canceled two executive orders supporting Israel on his first day in office. Mamdani’s election worsens the problem of anti-Semitism in the city, but the trend is rising around the world. To understand its root cause, read “We Need to Talk About Anti-Semitism.”
