Iran supreme leader: Develop nuclear warheads

Iran’s supreme leader ordered the development of nuclear warheads, the Italian Institute for International Political Studies reported today, per “sources in Tehran.” The report says Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had resisted constructing warheads or enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels—but changed his thinking after joint Israel-U.S. strikes on its nuclear program in June. Iran could soon become the world’s newest nuclear power.
