The Land Is Full of Bloody Crimes

A very sober good morning.

This weekend witnessed several horrific, violent attacks, the deadliest of which was the terrorist attack on a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Australia, in which at least 15 people were murdered. We report on the event and on the Australian government’s responsibility, in this morning’s brief.

Besides that, on Saturday, three Americans were killed by a jihadist in Syria (report below), and two students were killed and nine others injured by a gunman at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Yesterday morning, FBI director Kash Patel boasted on X that they had caught a “person of interest” in the Brown shooting, even giving significant details of the operation, but hours later, that man was released. The killer remains at large, and Patel faces severe criticism for the botched manhunt.

Yesterday, filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife were found murdered in their home. This just days after Jubilant Sykes, a phenomenal opera and gospel singer we have hosted on our campus twice, was murdered in his home last week.

“Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence” (Ezekiel 7:23). As horrifying as the fulfillment of this prophecy is, we can expect this curse to intensify as a result of inept government, moral deterioration and increasing satanic influence. Jesus Christ spoke of the need to pray daily, “Thy kingdom come,” recognizing the need for God to establish His rule on Earth and correct the ills causing such an unbroken chain of tragedy.

Australia’s guilty men: Naveed Akram and his father, Sajid, murdered at least 15 people and injured 40 in the Bondi Beach massacre. But their attack was encouraged by the United Nations, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and many, many more.

Many of these men have issued platitudes like “anti-Semitism has no place in our society.” But clearly it does, and its place is right at the very top.

• These leaders have all spread anti-Semitic lies about Israel and embraced Hamas’s twisted views of the Middle East conflict. They have accused Israel of deliberately starving Palestinian children and targeting civilians, and they have knowingly spread fake Hamas casualty figures around the world.
• They had the opportunity and responsibility to speak out against the lies, to remind people that no military in modern times has been as successful as the Israel Defense Forces in avoiding civilian casualties in urban warfare—while fighting an enemy that advocates, hides behind, and benefits from civilian casualties.
• All these leaders recognized a Palestinian state, rewarding Hamas for its savage Oct. 7, 2023, massacre of about 1,150 men and women and 36 children.
• They have looked the other way while Jews worldwide have been harassed and attacked. Leaders in business, academics, policing, sports and entertainment have all discriminated against Jews in ways that would not be tolerated for any other ethnic group.

Hours after the Akrams demonstrated what all these sentiments look like in practice by gunning down a peaceful, unarmed group on the beach simply for being Jewish, Muslims in Birmingham marched under the banner “Globalize the intifada.”

Albanese has never shown that he believes Jews need protecting or that anti-Semitism is a systemic problem. Even after the attack, he failed to mention that the terrorists targeted Jews.

“Since Oct. 7, 2023, anti-Semitism has been roaring out of control in Australia,” wrote Melanie Phillips. “Synagogues have been firebombed and vandalized, vehicles set on fire, Jewish businesses boycotted and hateful graffiti sprayed on Jewish homes and schools.”

“Jews are the canary in society’s coal mine,” wrote David Wolfson yesterday. “As the late Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks taught us, a society which harbors anti-Semitism is a society which is sick, and a society which tolerates anti-Semitism is a society which is suffering from a terminal illness.”

Those words are more true than Wolfson realizes. The true source of hatred toward Jews is spiritual, as Gerald Flurry explains in his book The Key of David:

Satan the devil has a great hatred for God, and he understands the plan of God. Because of that plan, the word Jew can really stir up Satan’s wrath. The Jews are a type of what all men are to become spiritually. God’s association with the Jews has turned Satan even more violently against them! Hatred for the Jews has been inspired by Satan. He knows he was never offered what God has offered mankind. He wants nothing more than to destroy God’s plan. … Most people who hate the Jews don’t even know why they do. Can we see Satan behind such lies and hatred?

The Jews are the canary in the coal mine because how they are treated reveals the degree of power Satan holds over a society. Our societies are saturated with evil. That is why God is preparing to intervene in word events—to replace these societies with a righteous new one.

Chile’s new president is son of Nazi officer: “Chile wants change,” José Antonio Kast said on Sunday after being declared winner of Chile’s presidential election. “And I tell you, yes, Chile will experience real change.”

• Kast won 58 percent in the runoff election against leftist candidate Jeannette Jara and will replace incumbent Gabriel Boric on March 11. Under Boric, Chile has absorbed a large influx of Venezuelan migrants and with it a surge in violent crimes.
• Kast promises to secure the borders, make illegal entry a criminal offense, deport undocumented migrants, use the military to patrol neighborhoods with high crime rates, build new prisons, cut billions in government spending, and lower corporate taxes.

Kast’s victory reflects a surge in the political right across Latin America, including El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele, Argentina’s Javier Milei, Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa and Bolivia’s Rodrigo Paz.

Kast himself is a son of an immigrant. His father came to South America after World War ii—from Germany, where he was a Nazi Party member and officer in Adolf Hitler’s Wehrmacht. In Chile, he founded a factory for meat and sausage products and began a new life, as did many other Nazis.

• Kast’s siblings have served as members of parliament and senators. One sibling served as president of the central bank during the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. During the 2021 election campaign, Kast said, “If Pinochet were still alive, he would vote for me.”

Kast, a devout Catholic, is a father of nine.

Kast’s election may be just what the country needed to enter a closer cooperation with Catholic Europe. The October 1957 Plain Truth, predecessor to the Trumpet, stated, “Latin American nations will join in with the European revival of the old Roman Empire.” This forecast was based on Latin America’s religious and cultural ties with Europe and a prophesied siege of the U.S., in which Latin America will play a crucial role.

Syrian government agent kills three Americans: An Islamic State gunman killed two United States servicemen and an American interpreter on Saturday, the first U.S. fatalities in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime last year. The shooting, which also injured two soldiers with the U.S.-allied Kurdish group Syrian Democratic Forces, occurred near Palmyra, where U.S. officers were meeting with Syrian officials.

The U.S. military reported the attack as an “ambush by a lone ISIS gunman in Syria” who “was engaged and killed.” The Syrian government condemned the attack but acknowledged that the terrorist had been affiliated with its security forces.

Syria’s current government, led by President Ahmed al-Sharaa, largely developed out of an al Qaeda affiliate. It recently integrated many foreign jihadist fighters into its security forces, with U.S. approval. The gunman’s connection to the government highlights the fact that some—perhaps many—in Sharaa’s government remain radical jihadists. Despite the Trump administration’s outreach to the Syrian regime, many still want holy war against America.

Hope for peace in Ukraine? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Berlin today to negotiate a possible peace agreement. While it appears unlikely that Russian President Vladimir Putin will agree to a cessation of hostilities, Bild reports that the German government is working on a 10-point plan for intensive military cooperation with Ukraine, so this meeting may benefit both Ukrainian and German armed forces. Whatever the imminent future of the war in Ukraine, prophecy reveals German militarization will continue.

‘The front line is everywhere’: Russia poses an “aggressive, expansionist, and revisionist” threat to the world far beyond Ukraine, the head of Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service will warn today. Blaise Metreweli’s statement, released ahead of her first speech to the public, warns, “The front line is everywhere.” It also states, “The export of chaos is a feature not a bug in the Russian approach to international engagement, and we should be ready for this to continue until Putin is forced to change his calculus.” Though more are waking up to the undeniable danger, Britain and the West will not force Putin to change. Biblical prophecy shows that his violent push against the current global order will only intensify in the years ahead.

The UN has ‘no right’ to examine U.S.-struck nuclear sites: That is what the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran head Mohammed Eslami told the media today. “There must be a protocol in place for inspections of nuclear sites that have been attacked before permission can be given,” he said of the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency. “The agency, which neither condemned the attacks nor has any guidelines for such situations, has no right to claim inspections.” This comes as recent reports suggest Iran’s uranium stockpiles in those sites have survived. Even though U.S. President Donald Trump declared Iran’s nuclear program “completely and totally obliterated,” it seems Iran’s nuclear program lives on.

Newly released e-mails show Obama DOJ killed its own probe into Clinton Foundation: Over the weekend, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley provided Just the News with fbi e-mails showing that Department of Justice leadership repeatedly obstructed investigators probing Hillary Clinton’s pay-to-play corruption scheme. While Clinton was secretary of state under Barack Obama, her nonprofit Clinton Foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests that had business with the State Department. The fbi started investigating the conflict of interest, but Obama’s deputy attorney general, Sally Yates, said to “shut it down.” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry’s book America Under Attack, originally published in 2013, warned in detail that Obama, Clinton and others were engaged not only in corruption and false accusations against Donald Trump but also in the systematic destruction of the American republic.
