Macron arrives in China

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in China today for a three-day visit and met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. “China and France should demonstrate their sense of responsibility, raise high the banner of multilateralism … and firmly stand on the right side of history,” Xi said. China’s economy has recently suffered under U.S. tariffs, but representatives from French companies just signed 12 cooperation agreements with their Chinese counterparts.
