The Demonic Celebration of Evil
Well wishes this Friday. It looks like Charlie Kirk’s killer is in custody. So that’s good news. And we’ll finish this morning’s brief with something else uplifting: some award-winning photos of the universe. In between, we’ll look at a story from a militarizing Germany.
But we start by looking at what Kirk’s murder on Wednesday has revealed about America.
[BRIEF]
The demonic celebration of evil: One demented man shot Charlie. But a great many people cheered his murder. If you needed more evidence of how much the left has given themselves over to the influence of the devil, here it is.
-
Social media blew up with disgusting messages of people celebrating. Plenty of individuals posted, but video also surfaced of college classrooms and newsrooms cheering.
-
Offenders have included teachers, firefighters and elected officials. The Hill collected stories of people who have been fired over the vitriol they posted.
-
Beyond this were the mainstream media messages suggesting that Charlie Kirk deserved his fate.
-
The House floor erupted in protests when Speaker Mike Johnson called for a moment of silence for Kirk.
This is what happens when people untether themselves from biblical truth, from revealed definitions of right and wrong.
Here is a biblical command worth remembering: “Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him …” (Proverbs 24:17-18).
The demonization of conservativism—equating basic, sound biblical views with Nazism and genocide—has become epidemic because the left dominates our culture. They propagandize our young people in academia and brainwash the public through media. Satan has grabbed the megaphone and is using it.
It’s not hard to recognize: God’s love is labeled hate, and hatred and bigotry are considered righteous. It is a complete inversion of truth.

Isaiah 5:20 warns, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Yes, woe—because once the devil gets people viewing the world through that inverted lens, he can lead them to feel justified in ranting, pitching fits, screaming, harassment, assault, even murder. It only takes one to kill a Charlie Kirk.
Colossians 2:23 warns against “will worship.” Gerald Flurry has showed how we inhabit “A Dangerous New Age of ‘Worshiping the Will,’” where people are discarding reason and following the vain imaginations of the heart, which is highly vulnerable to demonic influence.
This isn’t just a political divide besieging America. It is a spiritual war.
Germany will expand its air policing mission over Poland after Russia’s recent drone incursion, it announced yesterday. This fits a pattern in recent years of Germany and Europe using Russian provocations as a pretext to militarize and unite.
-
The policing mission was planned to end this month, but it has now been extended to the end of the year. The number of Eurofighter aircraft deployed doubled from two to four.
-
France announced it will also deploy three Rafale fighter jets to help protect Polish air space.
On Wednesday, the Russian drones were shot down by Polish F-16 and Dutch F-35 jets, aided by German Patriot air defense systems and an Italian surveillance aircraft. This testifies to the potency of joint European defense.
But Europe feels ill-prepared for the new challenges of drone warfare. One German general recently described anti-drone defense as Germany’s biggest weakness.
After the incident, German politicians are calling for increased production of drones and drone defense systems.
This is perfect timing for Rheinmetall’s new Skyranger air defense system, which is designed specifically to shoot down drones. The first systems are being delivered to Ukraine; there the battlefield will provide a thorough test and drive large-scale purchases afterward.
Russia’s aggressive actions are prompting countries in Eastern Europe to seek protection from Germany. Earlier this year, Germany permanently stationed troops in neighboring Lithuania. Germany is also using the crisis to establish a united European military.
Bible prophecy warns, however, that Germany’s military response is just as dangerous as Russia’s, if not more so. Watch closely to see Germany’s influence over Europe grow as Russia solidifies its claim over its former Soviet empire.

The ‘tropical Trump’ sentenced to jail: Brazil’s Supreme Court yesterday found former President Jair Bolsonaro guilty of attempting a military coup to overturn Brazil’s 2022 presidential election. He was sentenced to over 27 years in prison; Bolsonaro’s lawyers said the term was “excessive and disproportionate” and that Bolsonaro would appeal. Bolsonaro was a close right-wing ally of President Trump in his first term, even gaining the nickname the “tropical Trump.” Trump called Bolsonaro’s trial a witch hunt and threatened to levy high tariffs on Brazil if the courts continued going after Bolsonaro. To gain more context on Brazil’s political problems, read “Latin America Under Attack.”
Britain’s Labour government has a new crisis: Its ambassador to the U.S., Peter Mandelson, was sacked yesterday due to his close ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He called Epstein his “best pal” in a birthday message and remained close to Epstein after his 2008 conviction for child sex trafficking. He involved Epstein in UK government business, with Epstein setting up meetings and advising on the sale of taxpayer-owned assets. None of this is surprising; Mandelson was forced to step down from previous Labour governments three times. Starmer appointed an obviously sleazy man as Britain’s most important ambassador. That has called the prime minister’s judgment into question and adds to Britain’s leadership crisis.
American education gets an F: American 12th graders scored record lows in a 2024 survey of 10,000 students. The Department of Education reported the results on Tuesday, which show that only 68 percent of students can read at a basic level, and only 55 percent understand math at a basic level. Such illiteracy is dangerous. As Thomas Jefferson wrote, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
Winners of zwo Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2025 were announced yesterday, and they are spectacular. Please click on the link to the gallery of these glorious, gorgeous photos. The Prophet Isaiah tells us, “Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing” (Isaiah 40:26; New Living Translation). God has spectacular plans for the universe He created. And in a dark world, after such a dark week, it is especially important to cherish the light of that hope-filled vision.
