Russia Publishes ‘Catalog’ of Ukrainian Children to Adopt, Searchable by Hair and Eye Color

Russian officials have published a disturbing catalog of kidnapped Ukrainian children to facilitate their illegal adoption by Russians, Ukrainian children’s rights advocate Mykola Kuleba reported August 6.

Many of the hundreds of children featured in the online catalog are not orphans. They have at least one living parent or grandparent in Ukraine who loves them and longs to be reunited with them. But they have been seized by invading Russians and falsely told that their families are either dead or no longer want them.

The Russians now aim to reeducate and russify these children as quickly as possible so that they can grow up to serve the motherland. Getting these children adopted into Russian households can advance these goals, so Russia launched the catalog to encourage more adoptions.

Forcibly transferring children in this way constitutes genocide, as defined by Article ii, Clause “e” of the Geneva Conventions. It also constitutes a war crime, as defined by the International Criminal Court. But none of that has stopped Russian President Vladimir Putin from boasting on his official website about having abducted and transferred numerous Ukrainian children from his war zones.

In an especially perverse twist, the catalog allows users to filter their searches by eye color, hair color, age, sex, health and even personality traits, with some children described as “calm” or “obedient.” This exposes these children to serious dangers, including human trafficking, sexual exploitation and organ harvesting.

“Let’s be clear,” Kuleba wrote. “This is not adoption. This is not care. This is digital child trafficking, masked as bureaucracy. President Putin shows no willingness to return these children—but he’s eager to exploit them for ‘trading.’ He has streamlined the adoption process so drastically that a Ukrainian child can now be effectively ‘ordered’ online. With a single click, a child is stripped of their identity, issued a Russian passport, and subjected to ideological control.”

He added: “The way they describe our children is indistinguishable from a slave catalog. This is child trafficking in the 21st century, and the world must act to stop it immediately.”

This practice is satanic, but it is a logical step for the Russians whose population is declining.

Last year, the nation’s official population was 146.1 million, down a stunning 17 million from the peak in the early 1990s. This is partly due to Russia’s stratospheric rates of drug and alcohol abuse, which kill tens of thousands every year, and its sky-high hiv rate, which kills tens of thousands more. Russia also loses tens of thousands of young people each year to the war on Ukraine or as they flee Russia to avoid the war. On top of all this, Russia has one of the world’s highest abortion rates and an abysmal birth rate of 1.22 children per woman.

With Russians dying or fleeing at alarming rates and producing nowhere near enough new children to replace themselves, Putin’s decision to systematically kidnap Ukrainian children appears logical.

Now, thanks in part to the online catalog, Russia can get these children adopted—and reeducated and russified—so that they’ll be ready to take their turn dying for the Kremlin when they are grown.

This is just one more indication of the wickedness of Vladimir Putin. It takes on great significance when viewed through the lens of Bible prophecy. An army of 200 million men will be far larger than any ever assembled in the history of human warfare. And most of the troops will come from countries that will ally with Russia—under Putin’s leadership—such as China and India. But Putin’s campaign to steal children from nations like Ukraine will also help this future army reach its staggering size.

It is plain to see that some terrible years lie ahead for Russia, Ukraine and the entire world. But Mr. Flurry stresses that the darkness will not last long but will give way to a radiant, hope-filled future. He writes:

Vladimir Putin is a sign, literally a sign … of one of the most inspiring messages in the Bible. What we are seeing in Russia ultimately leads to the transition from man ruling man to God ruling man! … A great transition is about to occur.
