Biden Moves to Disarm Americans
More than 1 million guns have been sold every month in the United States for the past 43 months. Now Joe Biden is taking action to restrict Americans’ natural right to keep and bear arms.
On March 14, he issued an executive order instructing the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Education to pursue every legally available avenue to reduce gun violence. Specifically, he ordered these federal agencies to expand the waiting period to purchase a firearm and significantly expand background checks on gun sales.
Unconstitutional power grab: Biden’s executive order cites “the authority vested in me as president by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America,” even though the Constitution does not grant the executive branch the authority to make laws and specifically prohibits the legislative branch from making laws that infringe upon the “right of the people to keep and bear arms.”
All valid laws regarding gun control and firearm ownership must be passed by state or local legislature. Biden’s attempt to expand background checks is an unconstitutional power grab by a rogue president.
Targeting conservatives: The Crime Prevention Research Center has determined that 73 percent of America’s murders occur in 5 percent of America’s counties, so Fox News host Greg Gutfeld is accusing Biden of hypocrisy for punishing law-abiding Americans for the actions of criminals in Democrat-controlled cities. “All a normal person wants is a safe life,” Gutfeld noted on March 16 before explaining that the three basics to a safe life are border security, law enforcement and protection via firearm ownership.
Radical Democrats have already destroyed U.S. border security and severely weakened local law enforcement. Now they are targeting the Second Amendment, which guarantees the natural right of self-defense.
Lawless mindset: Communist Cuba, Nazi Germany, red China, the Soviet Union and many other dictatorships have relied on draconian firearm restrictions to protect tyrannical governments from the people they rule. Now the radical left in the U.S. is following their example and forcing their will on the public.
Most Republicans don’t realize what they are dealing with: people who are absolutely committed to destroying the government of this land! The mindset behind the radical Democrats is exposed when you look at their handling of another issue: gun control. Every time there is a school shooting, even before any facts about the situation come out, they immediately begin pushing for gun bans. After the most recent shooting, they funded student groups and encouraged students to revolt against authorities. They don’t just want to raise the buying age or to restrict the sale of a few types of guns; they want to eliminate all guns.
