Arizona Launches ‘Anti-Woke’ Parent Hotline

Arizona is fighting back against far-left indoctrination in the classroom by launching an “anti-woke” hotline for parents to register complaints about improper teaching material at schools, such as sexual content, gender ideologies and critical race theory. Arizona Superintendent of Public Schools Tom Horne launched this hotline this week in fulfillment of a campaign promise to eradicate inappropriate material in classrooms.

We’ve asked parents to call in when they become aware of inappropriate teaching. As you mentioned, that would include lessons that focus on race or ethnicity rather than individuals on merit, gender ideology, social-emotional learning or inappropriate sexual content.

Many Arizona teachers are standing up against Horne’s efforts to protect children. Still, Arizona is just the latest state in a nationwide campaign to push back against federally funded efforts to spread perversion.

Nationwide problem: A week before Horne announced this hotline on Fox News, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis played a shocking video at a press conference exposing Florida school library book illustrations of minors engaged in sexual activity, as well as instructions on how to masturbate, engage in perverse sex acts, and download apps that make it easier to have “casual intercourse.” Many books highlighted in the video, such as Gender Queer, Let’s Talk About It and This Book Is Gay, have appeared at numerous other schools.

Another book containing shockingly explicit perverse sex, Nick and Charlie, gained attention when an 11-year-old boy read aloud from it at a school board meeting in Maine. The boy’s father was furious at this book’s depiction of two teenage boys having sex with one another. “This is the smut that he is finding, alright?” he told the school board. “I don’t care whether it’s gay, straight, bisexual or whatever the terms are for all of this stuff—it doesn’t need to be at our school. It doesn’t need to be at my 11-year-old’s library.”

Orchestrated attack: The spread of perverse sex through schools is not accidental. Much of this perversion traces back to the pro-abortion advocacy group, Planned Parenthood.

A recent report from the Claremont Institute reveals that the federal government earmarked $206 million for sex education between fiscal years 2020 and 2023 and gave 80 percent of this money to Planned Parenthood and its affiliates. A lot of this grant money went to groups like Get Real, created by the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. This particular group directs children to read pornographic books such as It’s Perfectly Normal and instructs sixth graders in oral, anal and vaginal sex, masturbation, gender identity, sexual orientation and transgender ideology.

Coming judgment: The fact that Arizona and Florida are taking steps to protect children is a positive development. Yet American society has degenerated to a point where educators are criticizing Horne and DeSantis for trying to ban such perverse children’s books.

Jude 7 is the strongest warning in the Bible against the type of perverted sex being pushed on schoolchildren today. It warns that nations that live like Sodom and Gomorrah will suffer “the vengeance of eternal fire.”
