Iran Announces New Long-range Cruise Missile

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (irgc) announced February 24 it has developed a long-range cruise missile. Amirali Ajizadeh, head of the irgc’s aerospace force, announced the development of the Paveh cruise missile on state television.

Our cruise missile with a range of 1,650 kilometers [1,025 miles] has been added to the missile arsenal of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Assuming the missile’s range isn’t exaggerated, this means the Paveh could strike major cities in places like Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Iran had already developed missile technology that can reach those areas, but the Paveh is a step above much of Tehran’s current arsenal.

A nuclear parcel? The announcement comes on the heels of Iran admitting it has reached 84 percent uranium enrichment. This brings the nation closer than ever to having 90 percent, weapons-grade uranium. The missile’s unveiling shows Iran has also been working on potential delivery systems.

What the Trumpet said:

Iran is still a theocracy, governed by a radical cleric who, like 85 percent of Iranians, believes in Twelver Shiism, an ideology that embraces death. Iran remains the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism, and it continues its march toward becoming a nuclear power.

Iran is still a major force of provocation and destabilization in the world.

The Trumpet has forecast for years that Iran isn’t going to be stopped before it ignites a serious war, a war that will, in fact, escalate into the next worldwide war.

The Paveh’s unveiling brings Tehran closer than ever to igniting this war.
