Drug Cartels Take Charge of Border

Joe Biden is waving the white flag of surrender at the southern border.

In the 15 months since Joe Biden took the oath of office, nearly 2.5 million illegal aliens have been apprehended at America’s southern border. This is as many people as the total population of Houston, Texas, the nation’s fourth-largest city. But instead of increasing border security, Biden is encouraging more aliens to come to the United States by rescinding Title 42. This Donald Trump-era public health measure allowed the federal government to deport aliens from countries with infectious diseases such as covid-19.

Morning Consult survey data indicates that 56 percent of voters oppose Biden’s plan to remove Title 42. Yet Biden is still planning to scuttle pandemic-era border controls despite opposition from his party. Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia is one of the most radical politicians in the Senate. But even he opposes rescinding Title 42 due to fears that he may not be reelected. “I think this is not the right time, and we have not seen a detailed plan from the administration,” he told the Hill. “We need assurances that we have security at the border and that we protect communities on this side of the border.”

Republican Sen. John Cornyn has been even more candid, warning that there is “going to be a human tsunami across the border” and that “the people who will benefit the most are the drug cartels.”

Three Republican states—Arizona, Louisiana and Missouri—are suing the Biden administration for rescinding Title 42 as this action will hurt their states by encouraging more aliens to cross the border. Missouri Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt elaborated, “There’s nothing compassionate about this. Again, you have the cartels running the show down there, vicious gangs that are sending drugs and trafficking human beings into our country every single day. It’ll get much, much worse.”

Former U.S. ambassador to Mexico Christopher Landau estimates that cartels control 40 percent of Mexico, so these crime syndicates hold extreme power over the border. They make an estimated $18 billion to $39 billion from drug sales in the U.S. each year. And a migrant crisis like Biden has created can boost their human smuggling revenue. “It’s a boom for them—it’s huge,” Hidalgo County Sheriff J. E. Guerra told the New York Post. “Anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500 for every single body.”

Unless America starts enforcing its immigration laws and sending illegal aliens back to their home countries, thousands will pay cartels $1,000 to be smuggled across the border, where, if apprehended, they will first be taken to a border facility that does not have enough beds for the people already there. Then they will likely be released into the interior, where they will go on to vote for radical Democrats.

Fox News host Jesse Watters believes Democrats are encouraging illegal immigration to turn Texas into a blue state. At the same time, they are turning America into a crime state by pouring money into cartel coffers.

“Those cartels are trying to take over every area in the United States, every city, every county, every village,” Mike Vigil, a retired chief of operations for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, told an Ohio newspaper. “The cartels are smart enough to realize that you can’t check every vehicle. They don’t go to the ports of entry that [have little traffic]. They go to the busiest.”

Now that roughly 6,000 illegal aliens are being apprehended at the southern border every day, there are very few ports of entry with little traffic. So it is far easier for cartel agents to slip across the border undetected and traffic heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamines into America.

Stratfor analyst Peter Zeihan noted in 2008 that the drug trade is a way for U.S. adversaries to attack America. “[E]ven if every country in South America were run by anti-American governments, it would not overly concern Washington; these states, alone or en masse, lack the ability to threaten American interests … in all ways but one,” he wrote. “The drug trade undermines American society from within, generating massive costs for social stability, law enforcement, the health system and trade.”

Yet the threats of the drug trade go far beyond economic losses. As drug cartels turn Mexico into a failed state, they pose a territorial threat to the United States. “In many regards, Mexico as a failed state would be a worse result for Washington than a hostile, united Mexico,” Zeihan continued. “A hostile Mexico could be intimidated, sanctioned or even invaded, effectively browbeaten into submission. But a failed Mexico would not restrict the drug trade at all. The border would be chaos, and the implications of that go well beyond drugs. One of the United States’ largest trading partners could well devolve into a seething anarchy that could not help but leak into the U.S. proper.”

America’s southern border is already seething with anarchy. Yet its most influential leaders are trying to worsen the situation by rescinding programs that discourage illegal immigration.

In The United States and Britain in Prophecy, Herbert W. Armstrong showed how the Anglo-Saxon peoples are descended from the Israelite tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim, respectively. This means Bible prophecies about Manasseh and Ephraim are about the U.S. and British Commonwealth.

One such prophecy is found in Hosea. “Ephraim allows himself to be mixed up with foreigners; Ephraim has become a cake unturned as it was baked. Foreigners eat away his strength, unknown to him; grey hairs are on him here and there, unknown to him. Israel’s pride shall confront and convict them; yet they will not come back to the Eternal their God, nor seek him, in spite of it all. Ephraim is like a silly, senseless dove, crying to Egypt, flying to Assyria; but as they fly, I fling my net on them, and bring them down like a bird, punishing them for their misdeeds” (Hosea 7:8-12; Moffatt translation).

Hosea often refers to the northern 10 tribes of Israel, which split away from the kingdom of Judah, as “Ephraim,” the most prominent tribe, and “Samaria,” the capital. Yet the prophecies of Hosea were spoken to Ephraim and Manasseh jointly when King Jeroboam ii ruled both tribes. As “Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples,” foreign aliens devour his strength.

This is an end-time prophecy for America and Britain. These nations are mixing themselves with illegal aliens who have no intention of adopting their laws or assimilating into their culture.

“It is time for the American people to wake up!” wrote Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry in his 2017 reprint article “Communism in America Today.” “Or is it already too late? The Prophet Hosea says that we allow ourselves ‘to be mixed up with foreigners. … Foreigners eat away his strength unknown to him (Hosea 7:8-9; Moffatt translation). Foreigners are eating away America’s strength, yet we don’t even realize it because we have forsaken God. It is amazing how few people will really talk about what is happening. Our people are sick in their reasoning and are faint of heart (Isaiah 1:5).”

The radical Biden administration is actively searching for ways to make America’s border crisis worse than it is already, like a silly, senseless dove. The flood of unvetted foreigners pouring across America’s borders will continue until America is brought down like a bird in a fowler’s net.
