The radical left is back in power, and they are bringing their immorality with them. With a vengeance.
This was a major ambition of the Obama-Biden administration. Between 2008 and 2016, it sabotaged the Defense of Marriage Act. It forced the military to allow homosexuals and transsexuals to join the ranks. It pushed hospitals, insurers, federal contractors, government agencies and even foreign governments to accommodate homosexuals, transsexuals and others. It lit up the White House in the colors of the homosexual flag to celebrate the Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex “marriage.”
These efforts are quickly resuming under Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris. It started at the inauguration. The singer chosen for the National Anthem is bisexual, a gay icon—and an “ordained minister.” The singer for “This Land Is Your Land” is a sex symbol; one recent project was a pornographic movie in which she plays a stripper; she is also executive producer of a homosexual television series. The finale song, performed by a woman who promotes the lesbian-gay-bisexual-transsexual faction, is considered an anthem for homosexuals.
The Biden team wanted to send a message! And the nation, and the world, is watching. But they had better realize that they are also sending a message to God.
On his first afternoon in power, President Biden issued what one homosexual activist group praised as the “most substantive, wide-ranging lgbtq executive order in U.S. history”: It gives preferential treatment under the law “in employment, health care, housing, and education, and other key areas of life” to people based on sexual orientation and “gender identity.” He also withdrew measures by the Trump administration that sought to limit the scope of a Supreme Court decision and allow people to block boys and men from going into girls’ bathrooms.
These were among Mr. Biden’s first moves. This is just a tiny sample of how radical leftists are using their power to mock and silence people who uphold biblical virtues while they attack God’s creation of sex, marriage and family!
There is a powerful spirit behind these leftists. They are following Satan the devil, who has been cast down to Earth (Revelation 12:12). Satan has no truth in him (John 8:44), and he is very present in their lives. They are casting truth to the ground, just as the leaders in God’s Church have done (Daniel 8:9-12). They worship their own human will rather than submitting to God’s will, and they impose their will on others. They are weaponizing sin!
Do you think God will be silent about these things?
Look at the success these radical leftists are having at destroying the moral, spiritual, economic and political foundations of this nation. They are effectively doing the work of the worst enemies of America! I am reminded of something Herbert W. Armstrong once wrote: “Communism uses every diabolical means to weaken us from within. We don’t understand this kind of warfare, sapping our strength, perverting our morals, sabotaging our educational system, wrecking our social structure, destroying our spiritual and religious life, weakening our industrial and economic power, demoralizing our armed forces, and finally after such infiltration, overthrowing the government by force and violence.” Study that list: There is only one of those objectives that the Communists have not yet achieved: They haven’t overthrown America by force and violence. All of those other goals, they have completed. And prophecy shows that conquest by force and violence is coming.
Jesus Christ was a prophet. He prophesied that in the end time, just before His Second Coming, people would be steeped in sin as they were “in the days of Lot,” a godly man who lived in an exceedingly wicked city. “But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:29-30). God is sending His wrath on this land—His curses are already descending. Yet this is but one of many scriptures showing these curses are about to grow far worse unless we repent!
The Apostle Peter reminds us in 2 Peter 2:6 that God turned “the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly.” America is living ungodly—and we had better heed this historical example! Sodom and Gomorrah were cities that a lot of people thought looked good. Lot’s wife hated to see it go. But they were so wicked that God destroyed them with fire from heaven. And Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt.
The warning in Scripture is clear: If we live like Sodom, we will die like Sodom!
