Is the Nazi Underground Still Relevant Today?

The old generation of underground Nazis has died out. But their economic legacy lives on!

A police raid on a home in Argentina recently uncovered what some experts believe to be the largest collection of Nazi artifacts ever discovered in Latin America. It is well known that up to 5,000 Nazi war criminals, such as Adolf Eichmann, Josef Mengele and Otto Skorzeny, escaped prosecution after World War II by fleeing to sympathetic governments in Latin America. Even as late as 1954, Otto Skorzeny was brokering business deals between industrialists in Argentina and Germany. The goal was to strengthen German industry in foreign countries so a strong German empire could be created even after Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich was defeated. Most of these agents have since died, but they accomplished their goal of fostering a strong relationship between Latin America and Germany.
