Twenty-six Republican attorneys general sent a letter to the Biden administration on January 29 demanding that it “enforce the laws that secure the southern border.” The attorneys general said they opposed the administration’s efforts to remove Texas’s razor wire. The United States Supreme Court ruled that the federal government could continue removing the razor wire until further notice, but most U.S. states opposed this order. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has argued that Texas has a right to defend itself against invasion and the Biden administration has “broken the compact between the United States and the states.”

We now have a constitutional crisis that will worsen prophesied division in the United States.
