On Thursday, Israel conducted an outlandish attack on a Syrian chemical weapons facility. On today’s program, we discuss what the attack means in terms of Israel’s growing isolation as well as the world's acceptance of Assad's rule. Then, we discuss the recent discovery of the numerous seal impressions in the ancient city of David from 2700 to 2600 years ago. These impressions have interesting names on them that indicate a critical alignment with the powerful biblical event during the time of King Hezekiah.

On the heels of the Great American Eclipse, we look back at ancient Babylonian knowledge of astronomy, predictions of eclipses, and their mathematical system that was, in some respects, “superior” to our own. We also look into the key role that Abraham played in these fields of Babylonian science (as reported by numerous ancient historians)—and how his discovery of the true God through science led to his expulsion from Babylonia and journey into Canaan.

Just how much can the Bible be used in archaeological research and that research still be deemed scientific? On today’s program, we briefly discuss the cross section of the Bible and modern-day archaeological research. We also talk with archaeologist and author Christopher Eames about the Genesis account of creation and the astounding number of ancient civilizations with similar stories.

While the United States waits for the Great American Eclipse, we reflect on an important eclipse that took place 2800 years ago which allows us to give absolute dates to events in the Bible. On today’s program, Host Brent Nagtegaal looks at the ancient eclipse and its ability to help us discern the modern identity of ancient Israel.

Some say King David is nothing more than a fictional character. Others say he may have existed but certainly not as the Bible describes. How can you know? On today’s program, archaeologist Christopher Eames goes through the evidence of King David and the surrounding culture of his day.

The names of at least 11 biblical figures who featured in and around Elisha’s life have been discovered through archaeological investigation. On Thursday, Tablet Magazine headlined a provocative piece asking the question whether Iran was involved in the recent flare up on the Temple Mount between Israel and the Arabs. On today’s program, Brent Nagtegaal analyzes the merits of that argument and looks at the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in the context of Iran’s goal of using the Temple Mount to unite radical Islam.

The response from Arab leaders regarding Israel’s installations of metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount enclosure in Jerusalem has been stunning. Calling Israel’s security measures a ploy to take over the Al-Aqsa mosque, as some have done, is dangerously fallacious and has already resulted in deaths of innocent civilians. On today’s program, Jerusalem resident Brent Nagtegaal discusses the serious ramifications to the Palestinian leadership’s longstanding campaign of lies against Israel and how it will lead to an Arab takeover of the Temple Mount.

While analysts are busy keeping track of Iran’s gains across Iraq and Syria, Iran is looking to exploit the Qatar crisis to further its goals in the southern Mediterranean and Red Sea passage way.

On today’s show, host Brent Nagtegaal discusses why Iran’s strategy in the south will be more important for Iran’s dominance in the region in fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

On today’s show, host Brent Nagtegaal discusses the recent discovery of a winery just outside the ancient city of Jezreel which attests to the accuracy of the Biblical story of Ahab’s attempt to acquire the land from Naboth. He also explores the 2000-year-old port city of Caesarea, and specifically the make-up of the concrete used in the breakwater.
