Week in Review: Lebanon Shifting, South Korea to Break U.S. Alliance?, War in Central Asia, and More
Show Notes
- Israel and Lebanon held discussions this week aimed at resolving old disputes for the first time in 30 years, a strong sign of just how much recent months have weakened the position of the terrorist group Hezbollah.
- Signals from South Korea suggest that it may end its 70-year alliance with the United States, which would fundamentally change the balance of power in Asia.
- The U.S. Supreme Court is due to shift dramatically in judicial philosophy, as it appears Amy Coney Barrett will soon become the newest justice on the court, in what could be a fulfillment of a biblical prophecy.
- We also talk about Pope Francis’s recommendations for how to deal with the covid-19 pandemic, war in Nagorno-Karabakh, Israel and the United Arab Emirates having their first face-to-face meeting in Germany, Japan’s new submarine class, and more evidence of political corruption in America.
