Biden Opens America’s Southern Border

The current administration’s border policies are sowing seeds for disaster.

United States Rep. Linda Sánchez just introduced the most radical piece of immigration legislation in American history. On February 18, she presented the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 to Congress, which seeks to reward illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens. The bill would erase the line between illegal and legal immigration, grant unending amnesty for illegal aliens, return previously deported aliens to the United States, provide tax-payer funded lawyers to aliens facing deportation, encourage asylum fraud, increase legal immigration, and give expensive foreign-aid packages to Central American nations.

This bill is unlikely to become law as even some Democrats think it is too extreme, and there is no way the bill’s sponsors would be able to win over the 10 Republicans needed to block a filibuster. So, the fact that it was introduced to Congress at all is more of a shot across the bow to Republicans. The U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 shows that radical Democrats place no value on bipartisanship and have no intention of compromising.

But at the end of the day, Democrats do not need the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 because they can enact pretty much all the radical policies contained in this bill via unconstitutional executive orders.

In a series of executive orders issued early this month, Joe Biden brought back “catch and release” practices that allowed aliens caught at the border to be released into America until their court date. He ended President Donald Trump’s policy of making Central American asylum seekers stay in Mexico until their court hearings. He issued several new regulations that limit the ability of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to track down illegal aliens eligible for deportation, and he made a proclamation ending construction on the border wall.

These moves will encourage a surge of illegal immigration into America. One Yale study has estimated that there are already roughly 22 million illegal aliens in the United States, and the Biden administration’s new policies could encourage millions more to come. This is a dangerous violation of the rule of law.

One January 20 memo from Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary David Pekoske explained that the only “noncitizens” subject to deportation were those deemed to be national security or public safety threats, those incarcerated for a felony, and those who crossed the border after November 1. That means Immigration and Customs Enforcement will not deport those guilty of sex offenses, domestic violence, drug violations, property crimes or misdemeanors.

And if Democrats pass their For the People Act, many of these aliens will be able to vote, electing politicians who will allow more illegal aliens into the country until the nation is fundamentally transformed.

Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explained in his article “Where America’s Race Riots Are Leading” that America’s Southern border crisis was prophesied in the Bible.

“Illegal aliens are pouring over the nation’s southern border by the tens of thousands, but our leaders refuse to stop the flow,” he wrote before citing a prophecy of Moses: “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee …. The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand …. And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee” (Deuteronomy 28:15, 49, 52).

Herbert W. Armstrong explained in his most popular book, The United States and Britain in Prophecy, that these verses apply primarily to the end-time descendants of Israel: the U.S. and Britain. The reference to Israel’s “high and fenced walls” coming down is about open borders where foreigners flood into the land. Currently, the foreigners flooding across America’s borders are from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico. But the Bible prophesies in other passages that enemies from Europe will soon join their ranks (e.g. Isaiah 10:5-7).

A future Trump administration may tighten up America’s border security once again, but the current open-border policies being pushed in America are sowing the seeds for the nation’s downfall!
