U.S. Army Website Hacked

The United States Army’s official public website has been hacked, defense officials confirmed Monday.

The cyberattack led to the site being temporarily shut down. The unknown attackers demanded that the U.S. halt all training of rebel fighters in Syria.

The site contained no classified information, but follows other major attacks.

Last Thursday, it was revealed that personal information from more than 4 million current and former government employees had been hacked.
