Shock: 81 Percent of Al Jazeera Poll Respondents Support the Islamic State

A recent Internet survey by the website for the Al Jazeera Arabic television channel showed 81 percent support the Islamic State conquests.

The poll asked, “Do you support the organizing victories of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria?” Over 38,000 people responded, and only 19 percent said they do not support the Islamic State. Al Jazeera claims to have over 40 million viewers, the majority being Sunni Muslims from Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Satellite television and AlJazeera.net allow the network to reach a large audience in the United States, Morocco and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The news network is run by Qatar’s ruling family and has a track record of supporting Sunni terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda.

However, the fact remains that as an online poll, it could be wildly inaccurate.
