Last year the German government trade and investment elites attended 64 international trade shows. This year they are focusing particular attention upon China, Japan and other Asian markets. Their actions are in cooperation with international German Chambers of Commerce.

The United States ranks number one in German foreign direct investment (fdi) projects, with 133 established in Germany in 2012. A total of 854 fdi projects were initiated in Germany, generating 3,032 new jobs.
