German cities cancel Christmas markets, fear terrorist attacks

The German cities of Overath and Kerpen have canceled or scaled back their Christmas market festivals, citing high security costs to protect against Islamic terrorism. Jörg Urban, a politician in the increasingly popular right-wing Alternative für Deutschland party, characterized the decisions as “capitulation to Islam.” Expect more and more Germans to react against their weak local and national politicians and to support a much more authoritarian leader.
