Russia Rigged the 2016 Elections—for Hillary?
“In Germany today, the real power lies with the CEOs,” states our main story today. That’s a sobering comment when you consider that “for centuries, German industry and the German empire have worked hand in glove,” as our editor in chief Gerald Flurry put it. Learn more about how this happening again in our article “Germany: Led by Businessmen.”
[BRIEF]
The Trump-Russia scandal was the exact opposite of the truth. We were told that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Donald Trump to win because he held compromising information on Trump. But the truth is that Russia held damning intelligence on Hillary Clinton. While campaigning, she was taking “heavy tranquilizers” and was “obsessed with a thirst for power.” Barack Obama’s State Department tried to bribe religious groups into backing her, and his Department of Justice interfered in the investigation into her e-mails. Russia helped cover this up so it could blackmail her after the election.
These are just some of the details of Obama’s 2016 attack on Trump that were exposed in a 2020 report released yesterday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The 2020 Oversight Investigation and Referral shows how Obama pushed for the creation of an Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that declared Putin had “a clear preference” for Trump and “aspired to help his chances of victory” in the 2016 elections.
That was a lie. That ICA opened the floodgates for the Russian collusion scandal and months of investigation that tied the hands of President Trump during his first term in office. The 2020 report showed:
- The 2016 ICA was “subject to unusual directives from the president [Obama] and senior political appointees.”
- The director of the CIA ordered the release of reports “containing information that was unclear, of uncertain origin, potentially biased, or implausible—and those became foundational sources for the ICA judgments that Putin preferred Trump over Clinton.”
- “One scant, unclear and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard reports constitutes the only classified information cited to suggest Putin ‘aspired’ to help Trump win.”
- The ICA then lied about this, saying the intelligence community had “high confidence” that Putin wanted Trump to win. According to government guidelines, in official intelligence reports the term “high confidence” means there are “clear and reliable reports from multiple sources.”
- “The ICA ignored or selectively quoted reliable intelligence reports that challenged—and in some cases undermined—judgments that Putin sought to elect Trump.”
- The director of the CIA then “rushed its production in order to publish two weeks before President-elect Trump was sworn in,” which led to obvious errors.
- The report also pointed out that Russia was quick to leak anti-Trump material, which it would not do if it wanted him to win. This was not pointed out in the ICA.
Its lead author was reportedly a senior CIA analyst. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes launched the investigation, but once the report was finished Rep. Adam Schiff was committee chairman, and it remained heavily classified.
“There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard said yesterday. “We have referred and will continue to refer all of these documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI, to investigate the criminal implications of this. … The evidence that we have found, and that we have released, directly points to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment. There are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact.”
Meanwhile, Obama’s State Department tried to bribe Russian-linked religious organizations into backing Clinton. The revelations on Hillary Clinton in the 2020 report are shocking:
- Instead of trying to trip up Trump’s rival, “Putin held back leaking some compromising material to use against the expected Clinton administration after they took office.”
- Russian intelligence services “held particularly damaging information” on Clinton “that likely would have created greater scandals than material already leaked.”
- “President Obama and party leaders found the state of Secretary Clinton’s health to be ‘extraordinarily alarming’ and felt it could have a ‘serious negative impact’ on her election prospects,” stated the report. “Her health information was being kept in ‘strictest secrecy,’ and even close advisers were not being fully informed.”
- “Russian intelligence had documents from the Democratic National Committee stating that Ms. Clinton had suffered from emotional problems, including ‘uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression and cheerfulness,’” stated the report. “Clinton was placed on a daily regimen of ‘heavy tranquilizers’ and while afraid of losing, she remained ‘obsessed with a thirst for power.’”
- Russian intelligence had “details of the secret meetings offering State Department patronage to religious groups in exchange for support to the Clinton campaign.” This included offers of State Department cash in exchange for supporting Clinton.
- The head of the DNC wrote e-mails stating that then Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she was keeping the information about the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s e-mail server.
- “It is difficult to justify the ICA judgment that Putin ‘aspired’ to help Trump win by discrediting Secretary Clinton, given that in the closing weeks of the campaign—when such devastating leaks could have been decisive—President Putin elected not to inject this material into the campaign,” the report concluded.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced yesterday that the Department of Justice has launched a “strike force” to investigate Russiagate. These strike forces use personnel from multiple agencies to investigate complex crimes. “We will investigate these troubling disclosures fully and leave no stone unturned to deliver justice,” she said.
In his Trumpet Brief this week, editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:
If Barack Obama had been successful in using the American intelligence community to keep Donald Trump out of office, then America would no longer be a constitutional republic! It would be an authoritarian technocracy run by Barack Obama’s deep state. This is why God had to miraculously intervene and save America temporarily by the hand of Donald Trump—a type of the ancient Israelite King Jeroboam II. …
Now that President Trump has saved America temporarily, however, he must act to point the nation back to God.
Tulsi Gabbard and Pam Bondi have uncovered vile treason and corruption centered around Barack Obama, Jeffrey Epstein and many others. But will the Trump administration take action to bring criminals to justice? If it does not, then America’s resurgence may end up being a lot more temporary than people hope. …God performed literal miracles to bring President Trump back to office. What you need to realize is that these miracles have one main purpose: They are a warning to us and an opportunity to repent!
IN OTHER NEWS
Donald Trump was named in the Epstein files, anonymous officials told the Wall Street Journal. In May, he was reportedly told that “the files contained what officials felt was unverified hearsay about many people, including Trump.” This could have leaked at any time since then—I don’t think it’s a coincidence it came out today. It has dominated U.S. headlines and overshadowed the release of the 2020 Oversight Investigation and Referral report. That’s not to say the Epstein files are a distraction. But President Trump broke off connections with Jeffrey Epstein years ago, yet it is often used to distract from others who had much more recent relations with him.
A Florida judge denied President Trump’s request to unseal the grand jury transcripts relating to Epstein’s case in the state. She said the court’s “hands were tied,” as those transcripts are only released in rare circumstances.
President Trump’s executive order to end birthright citizenship is “unconstitutional,” the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled yesterday. It leaves the nationwide block in place, despite the Supreme Court’s recent decision. The Supreme Court still allows courts to issue a universal injunction if it is required for “complete relief.” The Ninth Circuit argued that residents of plaintiff states could give birth in another state—therefore the court’s ruling had to cover the whole country to fully protect them. The judges vs. Trump showdown continues.
American nuclear bombs have returned to the United Kingdom for the first time in 20 years, analysis of U.S. military movements indicates. A C-17 cargo plane flew from the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center to a base in the UK that had hosted U.S. nuclear weapons until 2008. Nuclear weapons are becoming more commonly deployed around the world. See Mihailo Zekic’s article “80 Years Into the Atomic Age” for more.
The German cabinet approved a bill to help the country expand its military more quickly. “We need more weapons, and we need them faster. This can only be achieved by expanding production,” said Economics Minister Katharina Reiche. The proposed legislation would extend to all military goods and bypass lengthy tender processes for military contracts among other things. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius hailed the measure as a “groundbreaking law” and a “quantum leap” for Germany’s defense capabilities. Restrictions on the military’s ability to procure weapons have long been blamed as a primary cause for alleged German military weakness. This is only the latest step in a much larger effort to enable Germany to rapidly militarize.
Macron and Merz are uniting in arms production and trade against the U.S. French President Emmanuel Macron visited German Chancellor Friedrich Merz yesterday, and the two agreed on coordinated European countermeasures in the tariff dispute with the U.S. The two also discussed the development of a next-generation fighter jet under the Future Combat Air System, a joint project involving France, Germany and Spain. However, the program has faced delays due to disputes between the French and German defense industries, with France reportedly demanding an 80 percent share. In the past few years, Macron has proven extremely eager to please Germany in any dispute with the United States—which has profound prophetic implications.
