War With Iran Continues, Court Rules in Trump’s Favor, TikTok Deadline Extended
The most discussed question in world news continues to be what President Trump will do about Iran. He has given himself two weeks to decide whether or not to attack. Our main story today examines the links between President Trump’s administration and Qatar. Those ties could play a decisive role in what happens next.
[BRIEF]
War with Iran continues: An Iranian missile struck Beersheba earlier today, wounding seven. This is the second day in a row Iran has successfully targeted the southern Israeli town.
European nations, meanwhile, are scrambling to deescalate the Iran-Israel war. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has a meeting scheduled today with the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France and Germany in Switzerland. The E3, as they’re known, were among the biggest cheerleaders of President Barack Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal, and they may try to bail out Iran this time around. But prophecy tells us to expect Iran to soon become one of Europe’s biggest enemies.
Araghchi is also scheduled to address the UN Human Rights Council today. Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Daniel Meron, raised a “vehement objection” to the speech, saying, “Affording the Iranian foreign minister the floor before this body continues to undermine the council’s credibility and constitutes a blatant betrayal of the many victims of this regime worldwide.” Once again, far from promoting peace, the UN is providing a platform for evil. As we wrote last year, “The ‘last, best hope’ for world peace has betrayed its founding mission.”
President Trump’s federalization of the California National Guard was legal, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decided yesterday, overturning a lower court ruling. They ruled that “it is likely that the president lawfully exercised his statutory authority.”
President Trump called the ruling a “big win,” writing, “The judges obviously realized that Gavin Newscum is incompetent and ill prepared, but this is much bigger than Gavin, because all over the United States, if our cities, and our people, need protection, we are the ones to give it to them should state and local police be unable, for whatever reason, to get the job done.”
The fight between the courts and President Trump continues to swing back and forth, but Bible prophecy indicates he will continue to have the support of at least the Supreme Court, as Mr. Flurry explained in his article “America’s Supreme Court Has Fulfilled Bible Prophecy.”
President Trump extended the deadline for TikTok’s sale for the third time this year, making it increasingly likely that the Chinese Communist Party will never be forced to relinquish their tool.
TikTok’s short videos have proved to be addictive for the many young people who have spent billions of hours watching them. Owned by ByteDance, TikTok often steers people toward anti-America propaganda and is a gateway to all kinds of evil content. China also uses the app to spy on its users.
Over a year ago, the U.S. passed a law requiring ByteDance to sell TikTok to a U.S. company or face being banned in America. There are plenty of destructive U.S.-owned social media networks, but at least if TikTok were U.S.-owned it wouldn’t feed information directly to China. However, President Trump has repeatedly paused the law’s execution. The popularity of the app means many politicians fear banning it.
Shifting TikTok to the U.S. could give the “deep state” more control over social media. But as we wrote in 2023, “China’s rulers are intent on pulling TikTok’s levers in a way that maximizes the impact of this ‘opium.’ China is increasingly determined to end the era of U.S. global dominance. It is using every method it can, including TikTok, to hasten that outcome.”

Terminally ill adults can get help killing themselves, the UK Parliament voted today, 413 to 291. It will now go to the House of Lords, but it is very likely to become law. Adults with fewer than six months to live can apply for an assisted death, subject to approval from a medical panel. A similar law in Canada has proven disastrous, with the state murdering its own citizens for trivial reasons, as I described here.
