Russia and Kazakhstan Deepen Relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Kazakhstan on November 9 to bring the former Soviet nation tighter into his grip. He and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the blossoming Russo-Kazakh relationship during their annual forum of interregional cooperation.

Strong relations: In an interview with Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, Putin said Russo-Kazakh relations are strong and “actively developing.” Here are some other takeaways from the interview.

  • Trade between the two nations has greatly increased over the past few years.
  • Russian investments in Kazakhstan add up to about $17 billion.
  • Kazakh youth are increasingly interested in Russian education and learning the Russian language.
  • Putin and Tokayev have “a truly friendly, close relationship.”

Kings of the east: Recently, we reported on Kazakhstan being a Russian “piggy bank.” Their economic and political relationship confirms Bible prophecy is accurate and relevant.

Prophecies in Ezekiel and Revelation say that a “prince of Rosh” (Ezekiel 38:2; New King James Version) will rise and unite Asia under his rule. This prince, as Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry proves in The Prophesied ‘Prince of Russia,’ refers to Vladimir Putin. Under Putin’s direction, Asian powers will form “the kings of the east,” the largest military alliance the world has ever seen.

Putin has long desired to rebuild the Soviet empire. These prophecies indicate he will be mostly successful in that goal. Kazakhstan could become the next Belarus.
