China’s Security Meeting With Pacific Island Nations

China headed a security meeting with several Pacific island nations on November 22. The video conference was led by China’s minister for public security, Wang Xiaohong, and included police officials from the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Tonga and Papua New Guinea.

Representatives of the participating island countries expressed their hope to deepen police and law enforcement cooperation with China to promote security, development and prosperity in the region.

China’s goal is to build friendly relationships with islands in this region so they can “enhance professional law enforcement capacity,” according to Mr. Wang.

Prophecy says: China, anciently known as Chittim, will one day command valuable trade waters, likely including some of the areas around the Pacific Islands (Isaiah 23:1-3). Control over the world’s strategic sea gates and routes was once promised and given to the descendants of Abraham (Genesis 22:17), who became the modern English-speaking nations. God told Abraham’s family that if they rebelled against His law, these economic blessings would be taken away (Deuteronomy 28:52).

After China began making notable gains in the South Pacific in 2019, we wrote:

Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands sit astride the most vital shipping lanes in Australasia. If China is able to militarize these shipping lanes, it will be able to isolate Australia and become master of the South Pacific.

Both history and biblical prophecy show why this is extremely dangerous.
