Last night, the United States fired dozens of Tomahawk cruise missiles at an air base in western Syria. The U.S. air strike was President Trump’s response to the Syrian government’s suspected use of banned chemical weapons earlier this week. When the dust settles from this strike, will the status quo hold for a bit longer in this war-torn region? Or is this the beginning of a prophesied dramatic realignment of Middle East nations?
