News of the Philadelphia Church of God—the organization behind the Trumpet
Plans are being finalized for an administration building to be added to the Philadelphia Church of God’s 170-acre Imperial College of Edmond campus. The project should break ground in early summer, with the goal of completing construction by summer 2005.
The administration building will be 22,000 square feet and have two floors. It will serve as the headquarters building for the pcg, replacing its current office complex in downtown Edmond and providing much-needed space for the growing needs of the work.
The outside of the administration building will have a classical Grecian appearance, featuring a seven-column portico with seven steps leading to the entrance. It will have an earthen, limestone color. The inside will have different hues of purple and gold—the school colors of Imperial College.
The building will be located on the south side of Spurlin Lake, the campus’s three-acre spring-fed pond. The area is near the future site of a proposed auditorium and will feature landscaping and footpaths to Spurlin Lake.
The first floor will house a reception area in the front and will contain the Church’s business office, a library, and the Imperial College administration and information technology departments. The second floor will hold the News Bureau, the editorial department, a conference room and executive offices. The middle of the second floor will have an open design, allowing an atrium and skylight above to shed natural light into all parts of the office and library below.
