Re: How America’s Friendship With Germany Will End »
There is no denying the prescience wrapped up in the “forecasts” of  Herbert W. Armstrong. We cannot deny FACTS as we watch these things come to fruition. How comforting is the hope given to us in God’s warning!

If reading “He Was Right” does not serve to convict those who read it, the upcoming events inevitably will.

I can’t help notice the parallel between America and the Anglo-Saxon nations acting treacherously toward God by rejecting His laws, and Germany treacherously betraying America in the future. This is obviously part of Gods correction, letting them experience what it feels like being betrayed. All too often, to hate evil, people must be the victim of evil.

Herbert Armstrong was right. He knew Christ’s return was right around the corner in historical time but it wasnt’ meant to be in his lifetime. It’s the way The Almighty wanted and designed it. And even though his critics scoff and slander his legacy, his service to God still rings true. As God’s vehicle, he was an extraordinary human being. Truly he fulfilled the Elijah office. I for one am grateful that one human being down here surrendered his life to God and was used by God to teach the rest of us down here God’s truth and not his own. His example shines on because he taught me and many others to love God’s truth despite my shortcomings. And as to the scoffers, those words which were The Almighty’s will be fulfilled today, sooner than they expect.

To John Holmes:

You want to know why the U.S.A. cannot lead? Because it is cursed? Want to also know it is cursed? Because they have forgotten who gave them their wealth. They put material possessions, pleasures and their wealth over and above God, who gave the blessings and has been taking all the blessings away and giving it to their enemies. That is why the U.S.A. can no longer lead. Those in power are just babies ruling. They behave like spoiled bratty little children. So says God Almighty. God speed the day of the return of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.

what now? a few weeks back you wrote that Obama does not care about Europe, doesn’t come to the EU-US meeting. He hasn’t even visited Merkel in Berlin.

But the US ambassador in Germany says that Germany is the most important ally?

What now? Either Germany is an important ally or ignored. Both?

Balkan wars were started by the Stalinists in Yugoslavia.

Europe does not blame the US/UK for the financial crisis. It is a fact. The ‘global’ economic meltdown was not global. There was no housing bubble to burst in Germany or France. It did burst in the US and everybody making business with the US in the housing market was feeling the pain. But that was not global. Especially the US friends who trusted the US economy have been burned and lost money through fraudulent business of US financial institutions. Added to that was and is the incompetence of the US elites to run a sustainable economy.

Lately the US hasn’t ‘bought’ Germany. The US buys and lives from China.

The nuclear bombs you are talking about are in Europe so to demonstrate the will of the Europeans to use them in Europe in their own area to stuff an aggression, originally from the Soviet Union. Some politicians, like the German foreign minister, want them to be removed from Europe.

If the some power will shift over time to Europe, it is mostly the fault of the US politics to address the real problems: energy crisis, environmental damage, food shortage, economic development and so on. Instead the US spends its time and money in Iraq and is no longer able to solve its own political and social problems (health care, drug use, violence, infrastructure, … ). When will the US have rebuild New Orleans to the level before the hurricane? Ground Zero?

A country that wants to lead, but fails behind?

The future for the US is this: hard work to rebuild its reputation.

The future is not buying cheap goods from China.

The antagonism between Europe and the US is only where the US leadership has been misguided and incompetent. Unfortunately this has been the norm lately: the war of lies in Iraq, the financial meltdown, the trade deficit, the debt, the dependence on communist and atheist China, the war on drugs, … all huge failures.
