Great swaths of the population of Britain, Canada, the United States and other nations have enthusiastically embraced it and pushed for broad public acceptance—not just of homosexuality, but the expansion the legal scope of marriage and family to include same-sex couples.
This amounts to a towering redefinition of the most foundational institution in society.
