Islamic State Claims It Could Buy a Pakistani Nuclear Weapon Within One Year

The Islamic State said on Friday that it is expanding so quickly it could buy its first nuclear weapon within a year. The claim was published in the latest issue of the terrorist group’s propaganda magazine, Dabiq.

In an article called “The Perfect Storm,” the group said it has “billions of dollars” to spend, and that it could potentially ask Pakistan to sell it a nuclear weapon.

The article admitted that the scenario is “far-fetched,” but warned that it is “infinitely more possible today than it was just one year ago.” The article also says that if they do not acquire a nuclear weapon, then the Islamic State could still easily make “a few thousand tons” of ammonium nitrate explosive. It goes on to say it would launch an attack against America that would eclipse “the attacks of the past.”
